Customer Review :
Excellent Shaver
This is an excellent shaver and it is definitely worth the price paid. It is much better than it's counterparts from Braun and Panasonic. Braun has just one large foil on its PocketGo, while Panasonic has two, but lacks what this shaver has - the trimmer in between the foils, which cuts long hair. When I opened this shaver and had to clean it for the first time, I noticed that workmanship is so-so (plastic-feeling), but when I found out it was washable, I was definitely happy. It works fine - takes me less time to shave than with previous Remington, which had only one foil and was as noisy as 747 taking off. Moreover, this shaver's got the looks as well - so if you wanna take smth to the gym and not look like you're 65 (no offence to those of you who are), it would definitely turn some heads. I personally think that this shaver is very good as a gift idea, shaver to go, or just an every-day shaver for guys with not too much facial hair (raising my hand). All in all, the conclusion is if you have moderate facial hair growth, this baby is a steal. But for guys with serious beards, I'd suggest looking for something along the lines of Braun 5775 or 7260 - it's more powerful, but uses the sae cutting system as this shaver. Cheers.

Axis Ax-1300 Shaver - Looks good but gives a poor shave
I purchased the AX-1300 2 months ago because I was looking for a good quality shaver that runs on AA batteries. I have tried the Remington Travel Shaver as well as the Braun 370 Pocket Go Shaver (each costing about $18.00) and found they required multiple passes to get all the facial hair cut. Given the prices of these shavers that was not a surprise. I was hoping that by spending more I would get a better quality shaver that gave a better quality shave. Unfortunately that was not the case. The AX-1300 shave quality is about the same as the much cheaper Remington and Braun shavers. I have followed the directions exactly was well as other ways (shaving with Lectric Shave, wet, dry etc...). The results are the same. I have to conclude that as a shaver the AX-1300 is not worth the extra $30.00 - $40.00.
As far as durability time will tell. The AX-1300 does seem to be better built and fits well in the hand.

Questions & Answers
Question : im getting my first horse soon n there are afew questions id like to ask about grooming?
1. how often do you groom a field kept horse?
2. how often do you need to wash there tail
3. to brush the main and tail do you use a main comb or a body brush?
4. do you need to oil the hoofs?
5. do you need a water brush?
6. do you need to strap your horse?
Answer:
You need to grrom a field kept horse very little as it removes the natural oil in their coat - which protects them against the elements! If they are muddy - make sure you grrom properly where tack will go - other than that just remove the mud with a Dandy brush!
Tails dont need to be washed often - if they look dirty really!
You can use a body brush or mane comb, although a mane comb is used to help plait rather than grooming. A Dandy brush is also good for mane and tail!
Hoof oil is one of those things that can be pretty pointless in the winter - I used to do it every now and then to keep condition - and when showing as it looks noce!
I have never used a water brush in my life - apart from to clean my boots! You will need sponges though!
It is almost impossible to strap a horse with winter coat! It was something I used to do in the summer as it is the only time you can bring up the shine on a short summer coat!
Just to clarify strapping, its when you use a body brush and groom really well, with lots of strokes, you also use a metal curry comb to get the dust out of the body brush as you go along!
Best of luck!

Question : I took my my silky terrier to petco for grooming?
It's been 4 days now and he has not stopped wimppering. He shivers uncontrollably all the time, i thought he was cold, even bought a sweater...still he shakes. I have checked his body for pain and he doesn't have any, yet it's almost as if they've switched my dog?
Answer:
It may just be a coincidence that he started acting this way after his visit to petco for grooming. Maybe a visit to the vet is in order since it has been going on now for 4 days. There may be something physically wrong with him that needs medical attention.

Question : Girls: To shave, or not to shave, that is the question. How do you like your men?
I'm thinking male body hair here, to be more specific. Hairy chest good to run your fingers through or gross? - you decide.
Please note: The questioner wishes it to be known that there is nothing implied or inferred in the above, as to his current body grooming regime.
Answer:
hey you!!!!
Well personally speaking, provided you cant actually plait the chest hair - I think a bit is nice
Back hair is a HUUGE no no though

Question : What does this body language signal mean?
I know that when a person touches their hair it is a "grooming signal" and when a person folds their arms it is a "defense signal". What does it mean when someone tugs down their shirt? Are they covering up or trying to groom?
Answer:
Covering up, they are uncomfortable.

Question : Does anyone have any pictures or instructions for grooming a Yorkie-Poo dog?
The groomer that I just took my dog to, shaved his entire body! I was SO upset! He doesn't even look like the same dog! I wanted him groomed but with the hair still long. HELP! I need some pictures to carry to my next groomer or to possibly do it myself.
Obviously I would not burn my dog. I do not appreciate the comment either.
Answer:
I am guessing your groomer shaved your dog because the dog's fur was matted. Do you remember if your dog had a lot of tangles or knots? I believe a yorkie-poo is part poodle. Both poodles and yorkies need a lot of grooming, I would say monthly professional grooming is needed and you should brush your dog daily to help keep out the mats. Dogs tend to get mats around the ears, under their legs, on their tummys and near their bottoms. What happens if the dog isn't brushed and groomed regularly is the dogs hair get really tangled and then it is really uncomfortable for the dog because the mats pull on the skin, trap dirt, etc. Imagine if you didn't brush your hair for months. When dogs are really matted the most painless way to remove the mats is to shave them out. Otherwise, it could take several hours of painful brushing to try to remove the mats, which is very uncomfortable and traumatic for the dog. So as your dog's hair is growing out, really focus on brushing it to keep out the matting and then next time you go to the groomer they will be able to give your dog the cut you want. Now, on the other hand, if your dog wasn't matted, the groomer may have either misunderstood your instructions or they didn't want to take the time to get out a few mats. I would ask people you know for a recommendation on a good groomer. Not all groomers are equal in their ability and especially in how they treat the dogs. A good groomer should have explained why they shaved the dog, and he/she should have probably called you in advance of shaving the dog to let you know what they were going to do. Lastly, I would probably not encourage you to try to shave/trim the dog yourself. It is trickier then it looks and if you do it incorrectly, you can cut the dog pretty seriously. Feel free to brush and bathe your pup at home though to keep the dogs coat in good condition. You happen to have a breed of dog that requires a lot of grooming, so it will be better for the dog and you if you can work on regular maintenance of the coat. Hope this helps!

Question : What is your opnion of men who shave their body hair?
Personally, they look like plucked chickens. But, now it seems to be a common practice.
Does this practice invade personal grooming and based in what our media says what is sexy? Or am I out of touch?
Now, some men are naturally hairless, and that's fine, but that's not what I'm addressing.
Answer:
I don't like lots of hair...I don't wanna be able to run my fingers through it...but at the same time I also don't really like shaved...Trimmed is for me....
Guess i'm kinda like goldie locks.......too much, too little , jst right.....hope the bears don't come home...
but seriously I think it's sexy to see the male form with body hair trimmed and shaped a bit...
Peace and Love

Question : Can somebody body tell me how many people suppose to be in a wedding besides bridesmaids and groom men?
Can somebody body tell me how many people suppose to be in a wedding besides bridesmaids and groom men?
Answer:
Depends on your culture and traditions. I didn't have anyone in my wedding. No attendants, bridesmaids, not even a maid of honor.
Traditionally we have the bridesmaids, groomsmen, maid and/or matron of honor, best man... or woman, ring bearer, flower girls. Oh. And let's not forget the bride and groom.
