Panasonic ES3041 Sonic-1 Mens Rechargeable Wet/Dry Shaver
Customer Review :
This is a piece of garbage
Does not work... I stronly suggest purchasing a different shaver. In fact I'm going to throw mine in the garbage right now.

Great product
I had an old Panasonic similar to this one that I broke and I tried other brands far more expensive and I ended up giving those more expensive shavers away and I came back to this model. It works great and gives a really smooth shave. A+

Shaver worked, adapter (charger) failed.
Within 9 months, shaver useless, 'cause the charger failed to charge. A replacement charger $10 + $5.....

Best shaver I have ever owned!
I bought this shaver about four years ago when my Panasonic ES883 had a performance issue on a business trip. I was looking for a quick, cheap purchase and was pleasantly surprised at how well this shaver performed. It has been my main shaver since then. I'm 57 years old and have owned a lot of different shavers - all the major brands - and I like this one the best. I also prefer the charger design - it plugs directly into the wall outlet - no long cords to clutter up the bathroom.

Good shaver
I have an average beard and have used remington rotary shavers for 35 years. Two years ago, I bought this r450 not noticing it was not a lift & cut. As a result, it doesn't shave as close as my previous razor. Other than that, it is a good, reliable, economical shaver. It lasted 3 weeks on a charge initially and after 2 years still lasts 2 weeks. II'm just now buying new blades. FYI, I tried a foil shaver last year and was so disappointed that I'm back to the rotary. (The foil shaver cuts nice, but drops cut whiskers everywhere and, if I skip a day, it has a very hard time--misses several whiskers regardless of how many times I go over it. Not so with all the rotaries I've had!)

Poor Remington quality
I purchased this shaver to replace an existing Remington shaver that I had for a couple of years. I couldn't find any replacement blades for my shaver so I decided to buy another Remington, assuming the quality would be as good as the one I had. Wrong, this shaver is so crummy I had to do a double take to make sure it was actually a Remington. It needs a charge every other day and even fully charged it runs like the battery is completed discharged. Into the trash it goes. No more "anything" for me with this company's brand on it.

DON'T BUY THIS SHAVER
I have had a rotary previously from another brand which worked fine. The RPMs on this one are way TOO SLOW, so you have to move it slowly over your face and still it pulls on the whiskers, not a pleasant feeling dragging something over your face that is getting caught on the whiskers and tugging on them.
And I have a less than average beard, certainly not a heavy beard, hate to think what average or heavier beard feels like w/ this shaver.
I'd give it zero stars, but Amazon makes you give at least one star just to post your review.

Poor choice
Amazon wouldn't print my first review. Have no idea why. This was not a lemon folks. I foolishly exchanged this item 3 times to prove it. The exchanges were done without problem. The razor is powered by a single AA battery. The battery's life decays quickly in the first thirty days making it mandatory to recharge almost daily. It will not work corded. You best bring your charger unit with you even on short trips. The exterior design is good. The weight and feel are good as well. The shave is excellent for the first few weeks but after that, it's all downhill. The country of origin may be a factor. It wouldn't cost much to correct the problems and make this a great razor. Add another battery, use a Mabuchi motor, change the circuit to allow corded use and install better quality cutter heads. Are you listening Remington ??

IT WORKS GREAT!
I bought this shaver on Amazon for $30 a year ago and its still in great condition. My husband loves it and he thanks me for buying it every time he gets a great shave. He thinks its an expensive shaver but little does he know that it only costs $30. I just bought another one for my dad. If you take good care of it, IT WORKS GREAT! Satisfied customer :)

Don't listen to anyone!
It's a good shaver for starters... unless your name is Big Foot! I mean, i work at the place that sells shavers (can't mention the name here, because it's an unofficial review) and we have so many alternatives, but after all the feedback and looking into it, I bought this one.
The only minus is it's Rechargeable ONLY. But, it gives a close shave... Yeah. it's a very noisy, but people who say it's too noisy really are not familiar with Remington brand (they all are noisy)...
I would reccomend it to anyone, especially first-timers.
P.S. Although, PocketGO 370 from Braun, which I recently tried, is much better.

nice shape but not a real close shave
I got this as a backup for my old Braun electric that I've used forever since I like single head screen razors and it was inexpensive. I do like the shape, being thin to hold and with the angle that is helpful. It holds a charge well and is easy to clean. As a backup razor it's been nice.
Unfortunately I broke my old braun so this became my primary razor. It's definitely not as good or as close. I have to spend a lot more effort to get even a semi-decent shave and I always have to use a little bic blade razor to get a few places this misses (especially hairs on the neck lying down).
So, I'm looking into a replacement. Again, good as a backup or perhaps as a cheap razor, but don't rely on it for closeness.

Simply Unacceptable
Stipulated: That I considered the low price of this razor, and that it had a strong influence on my decision to buy. But, in deciding whether to purchase this razor, I also relied on the largely favorable reviews of the product. Not a Mercedes, I figured, but a good solid Civic, or perhaps a Subaru, or at least a Hyundai.
NO! ... Remember Yugo? ... Could you perhaps envision the domestic competition that Yugo had to best in order to make it to the world market? Despite it's inefficiencies, as pointed out in previous reviews, despite it's noisy rattle ... Bottom line ... this shaver simply cannot give a good shave. We clear?

You get what you pay for
I bought this razor about a year ago mainly for rare occasional use when out of town. At home I use "regular" manual razors with shaving foam/gel. I purchased this Remington due to its low price (one star), and it still runs (second star). That's about it. Like other reviewers stated, it does not do a good job overall. It is particularly bad on the neck and jaw line, even with several passes and multiple directions. It is also loud. If you plan on daily use of a main razor, DO NOT get this. Either look else where or stick with manual razors.

Question : Shaving>??
Ok so,
When i shave "down there" how can i take care of it so it looks nice. There are like red bumps and stuff, it just doesnt look good. How do u make it look good?
Answer:
Oh I know this will sound crazy but my husband started using my facial foam cleanser to shave and he swears by it leaving a closer softer shave, so I started using it on my legs and private parts and OH YEAH it works. The product is Papaya Enzyme Foam Cleanser by Bee Luscious Cosmetics ...Good Luck it really does work

Question : How to shave in flight? Is shaving kit (razors, blades etc) allowed in international flights?
I need to shave my beard everyday since many of them turned gray. However while in international flight(which takes around 25 hours) how would I shave? Are blades, razors, shaving cream allowed in international flights? If not then how would one shave in flight?
Answer:
Safety razors and less than 3 oz. cans of shaving foam are allowed and many airlines offer them in business and 1st class. Just go in the bathroom and shave, I usually bring along an electric razor on long flights, it's a lot easier than foam and razors in a cramped airplane bathroom. Electric and safety razors are not prohibited and are perfectly fine to bring onto an airplane, at least in the US and Asia where I fly to and from frequently.

Question : What is a good non aerosol shaving cream for dry, sensitive skin that is prone to shaving irritation?
My all-time favorite shaving product, Edge Active Care Deep Hydrating Shave Cream, has been discontinued. I am desperate to find a worthy replacement that will minimize bumps and irritation. I also need something that will not dry my skin out. No aerosol cans, please. Reasonable price, under $10, is a plus.
Answer:
try aveeno products. http://www.aveeno.com/segmentAction.do?segid=1006&catid=1001
They are great products and the bottoms of their bottles do not leave rust rings on your tub.

Question : Does shaving facial hair allow hair to grow where it hasnt before?
I know shaving doesnt speed up the growing process. I recently shaved and i noticed my beard was a bit thicker and darker, there are actually some areas on my face that hair is growing where it hasnt grown before. I want to have a full beard chinstrap, shoul i shave the areas where there isnt hair to allow the hairless areas to grow?
Answer:
Shaving doesn't make hair grow. It just started growing there and you didn't notice because you were shaving that area.

Question : Is shaving your face beneficial or detrimental to the skin?
Just wondering if there are any benefits (aside from aesthetic benefits of course) to shaving my face. Also, are there any drawbacks to shaving regularly (every day excluding weekends)?
If it helps, I am a 17 year old male, mixed race (Indian, Asian, African). Just putting that in because certain races have different skin types. Anyways, thanks.
Answer:
well, if you shave completely clean supposedly it exfoliates your skin. i hear this about women and shaving their legs all the time. i can't imagine why it would be bad for you unless you cut yourself

Question : What is the ideal way of shaving arms and legs?
I use a razor to shave my arms and legs. I use the specially formulated shaving foam for women, I wet the area well and always change the blades on a regular basis. But whatever I do, my skin does not feel smooth and I always get razor burn. So I must be doing something wrong. Please help.
Answer:
Your skin is probably just getting dry because you are shaving so much.. it would help to mosturize your legs & arms as soon as you shaved them... and if you shave them everyday.. if possible - give them a break for a couple days.. you will notice a change.. & then the shave will become even smoother & you'll have nice skin... something I do, which REALLY helps.. is once you're out of the shower, & done shaving.. use baby oil gel.. and rub some on your arms and legs & and then rub your legs & arms w/a towel.. and then apply your regular lotion.. & you should see a big improvement.. I hope I helped.. because I had the same problem..

Question : What can you use before or after shaving bikini area to prevent razor bumps?
I hate frickin' razor burn!!! How can I prevent it? Is there something I can use before shaving, after shaving, or both? And why do I only get razor burn "there"? I never get it on my legs or armpits.
Answer:
no one ever believes me on this one, but just trust me. after you get out of the shower, or after you shave, put a thin layer of deodorant on the area with your finger. think about it, when's the last time you got razor burn in your armpit???
It works like a charm... trust me.
