works for me!!!
This is exactly what I needed - a quick option to lathering up. It works fine for me and for what I wanted. I don't find it harsh or painful. It is the perfect " going out the door" shaver - no nicks to worry about either.

Great for the price!
I have been looking for an electric shaver for the past year because I hate shaving in the shower! To be honest I only shave like once or twice a week because I have shaving to much. I have had this one for just about a month now and the shaver does a very good job although it doesn't get my legs as smooth as a razor. For the price it's totally worth buying!
Simple to use and cleaning is a breeze!

Excellent value
I bought this shaver to replace a far more expensive Braun shaver whose battery would no longer keep a good charge. This one does as nice a job as the shaver that cost 3 times as much and is more comfortable for sensitive areas like underarms and behind the knees.

Great shaver
This razor is really good. I've had 3 of them over the years. They eventually lose their capability to recharge, but for the cost, you can't beat it. Good shave and probably would last longer if I used it more in the winter.

Another Happy Customer
Just like most everyone else here, I am very happy with my shaver. The price is reasonable, especially considering the price of decent disposable razors, waxing, etc. It's the first rechargable shaver that I've tried since the 90's when they were awful, and works almost as good as a razor - not quite as smooth, but close. Holds a charge for a few shaves, which I have only tried without water so far. Also, this is very useful for someone recovering from an injury who can't safely manuever razors in the shower!

great shaver!
I had been looking everywhere for a good women's electric razor and couldn't find anything. I finally found what I was looking for on Amazon. The price was right, and the razor works wonderfully! Should have gone to Amazon in the first place!!

Bad design leaves scratch marks
I was completely unimpressed with this shaver. Perhaps I received a defective one, but it scratched my legs all up. The design on the shaver part is a bad one (right next to the bikini trimmer pop-up portion). It made the edges of the shaver scratch my legs as I attempted to shave. This is the worst shaver I've ever used - and I've been using electric shavers for about 15 years. I sent it right on back to Amazon. I have to say I was extremely impressed with Amazon though - they fully refunded my money, even including what I paid to ship it back to them.

Much nicer than my last two Remington
I have very sensitive skin and need to use an electric razor on my underarms to avoid razor burn. My last two electric razors have been Remington, the most recent being the one with the gold foil for sensitive skin. No matter how lightly I pressed with the Remington, I would still get razor burn as if I had shaved with a real razor. The same is true of when I shave my legs.
I have only been using this Panasonic razor for less than a month, but I have already noticed significantly less razor burn. If I press too hard, it will still cause it. But really there is no need to press very hard at all.
Some of the reviews I saw talked about how loud this razor is and to never use it when you have company. Well, it is much quieter than my Remington razors. Yes, you can hear it when it is on. But it's not like a jet engine or anything!
My only real complaint is that the little green strip that goes in between the foil can scratch a little if you're pressing too hard. I sometimes press a little harder on my legs to try to get a closer shave. (I try to get that delicate balance between razor burn and closeness!) Another issue, though small, is the travel pouch it comes in. It is just a nylon bag that really doesn't protect it at all.
I do really like the pivoting head, though. I was undecided whether that would really make a difference, since I'd never had one that pivoted before. Well, it really does make it easier to shave around your knees and ankles. You can change it from pivoting a lot to just a little. I also like that you can just run it under the faucet to clean the hairs off when you are done using it. The head comes off so you can rinse it. It goes on easily, though you have to be a little bit careful to make sure both ends snap on. The charger is sturdy and not too bulky. It stays standing upright better than both of my Remington stands.
I have not tried the bikini trimmer yet, as I am a little nervous to, after reading how many people had issues with it. I use a Wahl beard and mustache trimmer with a guard now that works perfectly, so that really wasn't anything I anticipated using.
Overall, I am so far very pleased with the razor and think I will like it more than my Remington shavers. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of the tiny bit of scratching and the very slight razor burn. I have to have something be PERFECT to give five stars! I think you can definitely see the difference between this mid-priced razor and the cheaper $20 store versions. I'd recommend spending the extra money!

This shaver is great!
I have used many different electric shavers and knowing that none will give you as close a shave as a razor, this is by far the best I have used. My last was a remington and it worked OK as long as you took a lot of extra time going over your legs twice. This gets the job done in half the time. I also love the pop up bikini shaver.

Panasonic ES2206AC PANASONIC PROGRESSIONS
Customer Review :
Good shaver
Bought this for my daughter, who just started shaving. She likes it, and it is easy for her to use. Would buy it again.
Rating :
highly satisfactory, but maybe I'm picky
This is an excellent product. It does everything it's supposed to do, but maybe I had high standards. The trimmer which pushes up often snags my hair, especially along the bikini line, which is where it is meant to help mostly, and I often end up with a little blood, probably from the snag pulling at my hair so hard.
Also, you have to use it slowly if you're looking for a close shave. It isn't as close as a regular razor, but it NEVER has given me irritation or bumps, and I ALWAYS got that with my regular razor. I can also shave daily now, which I was never able to do before because my skin was too sensitive and I would end up with horrible razor burn.
I find it works best slowly, in the shower, with shaving cream, on your legs and armpits. Not bikini. I'll stick to my old razor for that.
Overall, great product, but after reading 35+ five star reviews, I guess I was expecting something perfect.

good, if you know what to expect
I have sensitive skin and was tired of the razor burn/red bumps on my legs, especially the thighs. I tried an electric razor years ago and was not happy. This one is a bit better if you know going into it an electric razor will not leave your legs as smooth as a regular razor. It takes a bit longer, I have to go over my legs 2-3 times. When completed it feels like one days growth had I used a regular razor. Not enought to be seen but you can feel it. I will keep using it because there is no razor burn or red bumps. I use the old razor occasionally when I want my legs completely smooth and to do around the ankles. Overall, not bad if you don't mind a bit of stubble. I do like that you can use it dry outside of the shower. Great for sensitive skin. A bit loud.
Rating :
Good for the price
I purchased this razor when I had foot surgery as it wasn't very easy to shave in the shower any more. So I haven't tried it wet yet. The battery last surprisingly long, very easy to handle and clean. Charging set is convenient to use. This razor works okay for a quick shave, but it will not give a close shave. I haven't tried other electric razors so I wasn't sure what to expect. Not sure if you would be able to get a close shave from any electric razor. The style, ease of use and handling make this razor a good deal.

panasonic rechargable wet/dry shaver
I have to shave everyday because of the hair on my legs and this did not do the trick. It took a long time and the very next morning I had stubble. It worked great on my bickini area, but sadly was lacking on my legs.

Best razor ever!!!!
I have had mine for a little over 2 years and it has never failed to amaze me on the closeness of the shave. I have extremely sensitive skin and have never experienced pain or pulling of the hairs. Being fair complected i am prone to razor bumps from conventional razors and since using this I not only get a "smooth and silky" shave but razor bumps are a thing of the past. I am disappointed than the super store by me has discontinued the replacement blades from their stock but was happy to see it here at amazon. The cleaning mose is great just hit a button and go. If the noise "more like humming" bothers you just fininh your business in the room and hit the button on your way out. Personally I dont find it bothersome at all when you consider the thing cleans itself. What more could one ask for in a razor. It deserves 5 stars all the way!!

run don't walk away from this product
If you are considering this product run don't walk away as fast as you can. first if you don't have a dedicated spot the size of an electric can opener right next to an outlet the cleaning system is a total waste of money. It does an adequate job shaving legs, but unless you have under arms as tough as leather this razor will rip your under arm to shreds and leave them painful for a couple of days.

Remington WDF-7000
Works as expected. Like it very much but the cleaning is a bit noisy. Other than that I really like it - saves a lot of time over the old wet shaving.

Fairly good
I bought it for my wife mostly because of high star ratings and the fact that it is dual voltage capable(220/110). But we were disappointed because the battery always ran out after 5-10 mins. But since customer service from Discount Jungle was fantastic, we were able to return it and get another piece with no hassles. We had to pay our part of shipping charge which is not bad.
The second one runs for about 40 mins after full charge. My wife is fairly happy with the product. Only complain is that it is loud.

Completely Satisfied!
I have never owned an electric shaver before, but with summer here I wanted something I could shave with everyday. I have sensitive skin so I can't use a regular blade everyday, but my electric shaver works GREAT! I wanted to make sure that I got a good shaver so I read all the reviews - I decided that everyone will have a different experience! Mine, was a good experience! I went with this one because it looks nice and it wasn't the cheapest one. It does take a few days or weeks for your legs, hair and you to get used to the electric shaver. I have had my shaver now for a week and I use it everyday. The shave gets smoother each time I use it. Someone had made the comment that it was really loud...it's not any louder than my husbands shaver.

I am not real impressed with this product it does not shave close and leave your legs soft and smooth, I was hoping for a better product.

Remington WDF 6000
Disappointing. Does not give a close shave. I practically have to rub my skin off to try to get a closer shave. Feels like it pulls the hair while trying to shave.

Question : Is there an actual phobia from the fear of electric shavers?
Maybe it's related to the electrical sound or the fear of being cut while shaving?
Answer:
Hello! There probably is but the name for it does not seem to have been invented yet. Am sure that, if you are scared of electric shavers, then you are not the only one. Maybe it is the insecurity that it will slip that is the problem? Or indeed that you are afraid that you will cut yourself? Maybe because it is electric, you fear you do not have control over it yet it is still your hand using it and you are directing it? It is not a robot and it will "obey" you. Are you scared of any other electric appliances? I used to be scared of electric mowing-machines. Think I once saw a scary movie about it :o) . Maybe just enter "fear of electric shavers" on a search engine? Good luck!

Question : Which is better for razor bumps (ingrown hairs) on the neck, electric shavers or blades?
Any suggestions? I get razor bumps around my neck area, currently using a blade (mach 3), will changing to an electric razor cause more problems or help?
Answer:
don't try to shave over ingrown hairs. You need to put warm compress on the skin and then exfoliate to remove the skin covering the hair if it's not to deep. Use a loofah and maybe a mild facial scrub or something. Then always make sure your skin is soft before shaving and use a good shave gel. & a good rasor. and use an after shave.

Question : what ever happened to fighter ernie shavers?
I'm from youngstown, ohio, and never find out what happened to ernie shavers
Answer:
Shavers retired in 1983 after retinal problems were discovered. After retirement, he became an ordained Christian minister and moved to Phoenix, where he pastored for many years. He moved to England to pastor a church there in the early 2000s. He has been on the Benny Hinn TV show several times.
He has visited Ali several times and he says he, Ali, and George Foreman have become very good friends over the years. Shavers accepted the invitation of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship to preach at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester.
Amongst other things, Earnie also works in Liverpool UK, as nightclub security where he is very much respected.
Shavers was a troubleshooting referee in professional wrestling for a little while after his retirement.
He is a Patron of The Shannon Bradshaw Trust, a charity based in Warrington, Cheshire, helping children with life threatening conditions, and their families.
Shavers made a short comeback in the late 1980s and early 1990s. After a few wins and losses he retired for good in 1995.
In 2003, Shavers was ranked number 10 among boxing's greatest punchers in history by Ring Magazine. Shavers was given the title of "puncher of the century" and is widely considered to be one of the hardest punchers of all time.
Shavers finished his career in 1995 with a record of 74 wins (68 by knockout, 23 inside the first round), 14 losses and 1 draw.

Question : How do I cure shavers neck?
I can't seem to find a way to cure the redness and bumps that occur after I shave my neck. Are there any good products or methods used to help smooth the skin and eliminate the bumps?
Answer:
This is not the answer you want to hear, but this is what I did. I suffered from the same problem. My beard hairs grow in all directions. Shaving was a torment. I always had bumps, redness, bleeding, ingrown hairs. I tried preshave treatments and postshave creams, aftershave, etc. I hated shaving, so I grew a beard. I keep it short and neat, and have found it to be a great alternative to shaving.
Since my neck was extra sensitive, I only use a trimmer on my neck; no razors to define my neckline. I cut my neck hairs really short with the trimmer (they look like a "5 o'clock shadow" after I trim them), but I never use a razor. This has stopped the bumps, redness, and ingrown hairs on my neck.
Before I grew a beard, I tried an electric razor and that helped to reduce the redness and bumps, but I still had some problems. Later, I just gave up shaving with any kind of razor.
I trim my beard once a week and that's it. It saves time in the mornings, money (from buying razors), lots of unnecessary suffering, and my wife likes the beard!
Hope this gives you some ideas.

Question : Do electric razors/shavers work better than manual ones?
I don't grow thick or even long facial hair but I can't seem to get very deep into it. It's annoying. It always looks like I have a 'stache even though I don't. I don't know if spending $100+ on a fancy electric razor is better. HELP!
Answer:
Electric razors won't help you. In fact, you'll probably see worse results this way. Seems to me your technique may be off... Either that or maybe you have dark roots and light skin?
|
Question : Does anyone know if the specialty pubic shavers work better than a regular shaver?
I want a very close, smooth shave.
Answer:
I agree, Venus gets very close and smooth, I have tried the "bikini" shavers and they are not great, they tend to "catch" the hairs and pull them. I go completely bare and I always use my Venus razor, make sure you get the battery poered one cause I think that they have a disposable Venus now, also, make sure that you use a shaving lotion, they are better than shaving cream, Melaleuca has an all natural one that I use that has botanicals and other great stuff in it.
|
Question : are electric shavers better for the environment?
I bought a electric shaver so i would not have to buy shaving cream and blades. It also saves me hot water. I do have to charge it up every 3 weeks. and replace the screen every year.
Answer:
I would say yes, because if you use disposables, obviously that isn't good, and even those little razor blades in the old fashioned replacable razors are going into the land fill. If you shaved in the shower or something it might be energy efficient. But I think it is probably electric shavers are the best... plus they don't risk a cut up face!
|
Question : Why are replacement blades for shavers ei: Gillette Mach 3, etc so expensive?
I've checked-out the prices and no pharmacy or store has them for under $8.00 for 4, they are usually $9.97 or 16.97 for package of 4 or 8, which is ridiculous!
Answer:
I'm pretty sure that the more expensive shavers are supposed to last you longer and be nicer for your skin than the disposable ones.
2 dollars for each replacement razor doesn't sound so bad.
