Shaver Sharpening Heads

This is a good product, but not a great product. It will probably extend the amount of time the razor can be used by 50% before we buy replacement blades, but the quality of the shave after sharpening the blades is about 75% of what it would be with new (replacement) blades. You can save a few dollars for a while, but don't expect that sharpened blades will be as good as new blades.

Question : How are electric shavers compared to blade razors? Do they get as close? How long does the shave last?
For example shavers like the Philips Norelco what would you guys recommend?

Answer:
I'm a girl with way softer skin then my boyfriend and i can tell which razor he uses when he kisses me. Yes, it's that much of a difference. Electric shavers don't get close at all. He shaves and it's like a 5 o'clock shadow, but with the razor he's silky smoothe. Don't go for the electric, the girls will thank you.

Question : How do I cure shavers neck?
I can't seem to find a way to cure the redness and bumps that occur after I shave my neck. Are there any good products or methods used to help smooth the skin and eliminate the bumps?

Answer:
This is not the answer you want to hear, but this is what I did. I suffered from the same problem. My beard hairs grow in all directions. Shaving was a torment. I always had bumps, redness, bleeding, ingrown hairs. I tried preshave treatments and postshave creams, aftershave, etc. I hated shaving, so I grew a beard. I keep it short and neat, and have found it to be a great alternative to shaving. Since my neck was extra sensitive, I only use a trimmer on my neck; no razors to define my neckline. I cut my neck hairs really short with the trimmer (they look like a "5 o'clock shadow" after I trim them), but I never use a razor. This has stopped the bumps, redness, and ingrown hairs on my neck. Before I grew a beard, I tried an electric razor and that helped to reduce the redness and bumps, but I still had some problems. Later, I just gave up shaving with any kind of razor. I trim my beard once a week and that's it. It saves time in the mornings, money (from buying razors), lots of unnecessary suffering, and my wife likes the beard! Hope this gives you some ideas.

Question : Anybody out there use one of those Panasonic electric shavers with the wet shave feature?
Just wondering if anyone uses one of these and how well it works. I was wondering why you would use the wet shave feature with an electric, as I thought that when you use an electric shaver that your supposed to do it when your face is dry, before you take a shower. I've used an electric before, but only this way (dry-before a shower), and was just wondering how well they work when you use them wet or in the shower. Thanks. Does it shave closer though when used wet? Does it feel/shave better when wet?

Usually people say that you have to have a long hair to use an electric shaver. But I would prefer an electric shaver for everyday use if there are any. do all these need a hair to be grown for 2 or 3 days to a week to use any electric shavers or can be used daily just like a mac razors.

The best as far as comfort (razor burn) and closeness is the Norelco Advantage that dispenses shave gel as you shave. Remember the cheaper the elector razor the more one sacrifices in comfort and closeness of trim. Shave gel cartridges cost about $1 and last for about a month. I'm not talking about shaving every hair on your body, just removes some of them for a lighter look. Which ones are there?
