You Can't Rate it if You Haven't Received it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the second time you have asked me to rate this purchase and this is the second time I have to tell you that the product has not been received yet - nor has Goodman's provided any expected shipment date. After we responded to your first email asking for our opinion, Goodman's replied (email 12/19/07) that the item should be shipped sometime in the future - but could not provide a forecasted date of shipment. Meanwhile, we have already paid you the full price of this order, but have received nothing. Hopefully, you can surmise that we are not too happy with Amazon right now.

Not the same product as in the picture.

What the seller did was he sent me the older version of the shaver replacement head. Not he one he has on the product picture. It is ok but you should post the right picture of the product.

Great Product

I'm using an older spectra and this is the first time replacing the blades for it. These blades were definitely worth the money.

Rating :

Very satisfied

After 24 months I replaced HQ8, my shaver (Norelco Spectra 8894XL) is as good as brand new. These things last forever.

Rating :

Expectations are met

I needed new blades, and Norelco sells new blades. It wasn't exactly shrouded in mystery what I should do. The heads+blades do exactly what the package says they would.

Rating :

Does the job

This product does the job. I was disappointed that, though my razor is listed as compatible, the first two weeks after installing this product my razor indicated I needed to change my heads. Also, I expected the shave to improve back to good-as-new quality rather than remaining in the same ballpark as my old shaver heads. But, these certainly do the job.

Screens

The screens worked great. It would be nice to have directions to use for the replacement, but it didn't take long to figure out the process.

Shaver screen satisfaction

I ordered this shaver screen, it came in 4 days, and I am totally satisfied. Works just like the old one.

Remington Shaver foils

These are bulk foils and cutters. Poorly repacked. No way to know if these are, as advertised, Remington razor products or cheap copies. I expected to find them in Remington, safe, bubble packs. They were inserted into cardboard packages with the Remington number penciled outside on the box.

Rating :

Good Replacement Foil Screens

These are good Replacement Foil Screens for the Remington Foil Shaver that Remington no longer makes. Also, Remington no longer makes replacement parts or foil screens for this shaver.

I thought I was going to have to buy a new shaver, until I came accross Goodman's!

There are probably a lot of men out there, like me, coping with this dilema!

Questions & Answers
Question : Is it possible for some shavers to leave your legs "hairless" for longer than others?
The disposable ones. For example, the wilkinson's sword one (for women) against a normal boots/superdrug brand

Answer:
No, they would be the same but if u want to try for hairless legs longer try the Nair Lotion, or Veet. I've tryed it and it just burns the hair away. you dont feel a thing i think its way easier than using razors ( plus no razor burn or cuts!! ) hoped i helped!! =)

Question : what is the best shaving cream and shavers for shaving a head?
I just shaved my head and it still looks like their is hair its hair where my hair used to be

Answer:
omg... i so wanna see this.. hahaha.. im not being an ass.. i just think it has to look fun...

Question : How often must you change the blades on electric shavers?
I am thinking about buying a foil type self cleaning shaver(not to get confused with the rotary style 3 head shavers)and i know that you can buy new blades for it. how ofted do you need to change them?

Answer:
To my knowledge the foil type shavers are travel shavers... I have used only the rotary kinds... In rotary kinds the blade last for 1-2 years & after that's it better to buy a new shaver cause the blades are almost as expense as the shaver...

Question : What's the difference between electric shavers with foil and rotating heads, and which is the best one to buy?
Not interested in fancy extras such as 'Clean & Renew', and the shaver should be equipped with a MAINS facility at least. Thanks for any recommendations guys!

Answer:
If you are black, get a philishave with rotating heads and different cutting degrees and moisturiser, cos them other ones are gonna mash your skin up. Black man's hair is different, a lot thicker and curlier. Don't get a foil one.

Question : How long do the batteries in shavers last ?
How long do the batteries in shavers last ?

Answer:
Most modern rechargable electric shavers use Ni-Cad batteries despite the recent advances in battery technologies I believe this is because they are the cheapest to produce. These batteries suffer from memory effects so the life of them depends on the users charging and discharging habits but it they are discharged properly every time before charging they can last for up to 1000 cycles. If you shave once a day and charge it every 2 or 3 days you can expect up to 3 or so years from these batteries but charge quality of this battery chemical is greatly degraded usually within a years use.

Question : Are there any good body shavers that can remove just a little bit of hair?
I'm not talking about shaving every hair on your body, just removes some of them for a lighter look. Which ones are there?

Answer:
use wax's or don't do anything.

Question : Ladies who use electric shavers: If I get an electric shaver, will I have problems with nicks and cuts?
I need to do something. In the shower today I took out a slice of my skin on my ankle. yikes!

Answer:
I need to do something. In the shower today I took out a slice of my skin on my ankle. yikes!

Question : How do I cure shavers neck?
I can't seem to find a way to cure the redness and bumps that occur after I shave my neck. Are there any good products or methods used to help smooth the skin and eliminate the bumps?

Answer:
This is not the answer you want to hear, but this is what I did. I suffered from the same problem. My beard hairs grow in all directions. Shaving was a torment. I always had bumps, redness, bleeding, ingrown hairs. I tried preshave treatments and postshave creams, aftershave, etc. I hated shaving, so I grew a beard. I keep it short and neat, and have found it to be a great alternative to shaving. Since my neck was extra sensitive, I only use a trimmer on my neck; no razors to define my neckline. I cut my neck hairs really short with the trimmer (they look like a "5 o'clock shadow" after I trim them), but I never use a razor. This has stopped the bumps, redness, and ingrown hairs on my neck. Before I grew a beard, I tried an electric razor and that helped to reduce the redness and bumps, but I still had some problems. Later, I just gave up shaving with any kind of razor. I trim my beard once a week and that's it. It saves time in the mornings, money (from buying razors), lots of unnecessary suffering, and my wife likes the beard! Hope this gives you some ideas.

Question : Are there any websites that recycle electric shavers?
I have an electric shaver that burnt out. Please provide websites.

Answer:
yes its called the trash

Also where can I buy one? Thanks. Also how much are the bowls that go with them?

Answer:
I have one I bought years ago, but I do not remember how much it was. I think Pampered Chef has discontinued them. There is one going for 3>99 on E bay right now... http://cgi.ebay.com/ICE-SHAVER-SNOW-CONE-MAKER-Pampered-Chef_W0QQitemZ230264886791QQihZ013QQcategoryZ20651QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
