Questions & Answers
Question : How do you avoid pimples when shaving the vagina?
I've been shaving for a few months, at first it was smooth but recently it's become pimpled. Tried using hair removal cream and waxing but neither work. Wondered how to avoid getting pimples and if there's any way of removing them.

Answer:
apply honey /

Question : What is the best razor/shaving cream for thick facial hair?
I'm a 21 year old guy with light skin and dark hair. I have really thick/dark facial and my skin gets easily irritated. What razor and shaving cream do you recommend for me? Also, I want a really close shave. Should I shave in the opposite direction I normally would or go with the grain of my hair? Finally, I have red bumps on my neck after I shave. Are these ingrown hairs?

Answer:
Here's my suggestion: Buy a double-edged safety razor. They're old school but they shave just as well as the multi-blade systems on the market and they're more gentle on the skin. Not to mention, less expensive. As for shaving cream --- I recommend the line 'King of Shaves'. I was just turned onto this brand by doing a lot of research and it's good stuff. It has aloe and antiseptic properies, so it's good for ingrowns. Also, it's low foam, so you're able to see where you shave. It doesn't gunk up like other shaving creams either. Shave with the growth of the hair, then sideways.

Question : What are the risks of shaving a German Shepherd dog?
I have two beautiful German Shepherds, both 12 years old now, which I brush daily. I enjoy the brushing and love my dogs. A friend of mine wants to buy a Shepherd and shave him to control shedding. I am really upset with her. Told her that she should not buy a Shepherd if she is going to shave him and that she should consider another breed. She insists that shaving is not only OK but recommended by Vets. Am I wrong or is she?

Answer:
You are absolutely right. Long haired, double coated dogs do not need to be shaved.....ever. Unless the dog has passed the point of no return in the matting department, the best type of grooming for these dogs is a vigorous undercoat raking with a special tool that helps remove the undercoat, a bath, and a blow dry to help separate the hair. The guard hairs on the top that do not shed out provide protection against the rays of the sun, and actually insulate the dog from the heat. Dogs left with just the undercoat WILL shed. It may shed shorter hair, but it will still shed. Sometimes the hair will NOT grow back. The older the dog, the less likely the guard hairs will regrow. The undercoat will regrow, but the upper hair sometimes does not. Skin that is damaged by UV rays that they would not otherwise be exposed to, can take a long time to heal, and the dog may have scaling and dandruff for quite some time after the hair has regrown. Unless she wants to shave the dog for medical reasons she should consider another breed. GSDs shed. That's something that needs to be considered and accepted. In my opinion the cons far outnumber the pros.

Question : How do i get rid of dark hair follicles after shaving?
i shave but i don't use shaving cream. i just think its useless and i know the dark hair follicles or dots that i see on my skin is the hair under the skin. so im wondering if using shaving cream before i shave would make a difference or using one of those shaving lotions or waxing. i've tried shaving lotions (nair and veet) but after i usedt them, my legs got itchy and irritated. I dont need a tan, i'm already a sort of brown-ish color but my hair is black

Answer:
You can't do anything except waxing, and even that doesn't always take out the root. Get a TAN.

Question : What can you use before or after shaving bikini area to prevent razor bumps?
I hate frickin' razor burn!!! How can I prevent it? Is there something I can use before shaving, after shaving, or both? And why do I only get razor burn "there"? I never get it on my legs or armpits.

Answer:
no one ever believes me on this one, but just trust me. after you get out of the shower, or after you shave, put a thin layer of deodorant on the area with your finger. think about it, when's the last time you got razor burn in your armpit??? It works like a charm... trust me.

Question : Does shaving cream take the paint off of vehicles?
I'm planning a prank, but I don't want to harm any property. I need to know if shaving cream will harm a vehicle in any way.

Answer:
Shaving cream can be washed off easily. for your prank to be more effective, use something like nivea cream. it's really greasy and hard to come off. someone had done it to our teacher (happy times), they'd put lots of blobs of nivea cream (could be any other greasy cream=as in moisturizer) all over the car and then put little balls of coloured cotton wool on each of them. looked great, but you should have heard him swear...

Question : How many days after shaving should you wait till you wax your legs?
Okay girls we all know if you shave you only get one day of smoothness which is why i like waxing but the bad things is you have to wait so long for the hair to be long enough for the wax strips so, how many days do you wait after shaving untill you wax?

Answer:
Hair typically grows half an inch per month but the hair on your legs has to be at least a 1/4 inch long for the wax to grab and hair to come off on the fabric strip. So 2 weeks is the right time to wait if you want a good clean wax job. Wear pants until then, it won't kill you. And besides, since hair grows at different rates from the root, you will find that you will have to wax less and less as time goes on.

Question : How to shave my knees and underarms? Any good shaving tips?
I am a girl, and i have been shaving my underarms for like 2 years, and even when i shave, my underarms still look dark. its like you can see the hair under the stin before it comes up again, do you know what i mean? and how to you solve this? i have dark hair, so blondes (luckily) dont really have this problem. ??? Ok question #2 is how do i shave my knees? i always think i get them really good in the morning but then i realize after that i missed a bunch. how do you shave your knees? is there anyway you do to keep them smooth ? do you shave your knees when your legs are straight or when they are bent and the skin is pulled taunt? please help! thank you! ♥ also do you have any other shaving tips for girls?

Answer:
I use a venus breeze and i love it!! oky let your underarm hair grow for about two days after that shave up and down and side to side and criss cross.your hair under your arms grows in different direstions and i had the same problem you do until i tried this. you might want to use venus or try using a guys razor that has four blades. and buy shaving cream that stands the hair up so you get a closer shave.and for your knees try nair or hair removal lotion. make sure to cover your entire knee in the lotion and bend it to make the skin tight. hope this helps

Question : What is a good non aerosol shaving cream for dry, sensitive skin that is prone to shaving irritation?
My all-time favorite shaving product, Edge Active Care Deep Hydrating Shave Cream, has been discontinued. I am desperate to find a worthy replacement that will minimize bumps and irritation. I also need something that will not dry my skin out. No aerosol cans, please. Reasonable price, under $10, is a plus.

Answer:
