Question : What causes a body odor even if your very hygienic and health conscious?
I have friend that is very well groomed and health concious, eating the right food and taking a bath though not often as in every other day because he gets feverish if he always wet his hair specially in cold season but the problem is he still have a body odor and I gently advise him to use deodorant and he tried but he gets allergies in the armpit so he stopped. I wish I could help him but even I hesitate to mentioned that too much to him for fear of hurting his feelings. How can I help him to lessen the smell in natural way without resorting to surgery?
please advise.
Answer:
That's not so very hygienic and health conscious. Body odour is caused by bacteria. The natural oils and moisture that your skin releases protects you and attracts bacteria. Some people are afflicted worse than others.
I don't think there is surgery for it... you seem to know.... but to rid yourself of dreadful body odor, there is no good answer, but to bathe regularly, replacing those natural oils with something scented that is more appealing. There are low allergy soaps available. Salty water is also good btw. An anti-bacterial soap with lavender for example.... a good quality shampoo and conditioner used daily will also help conceal it... and an antiperspirant deoderant with a matching cologne.....
oh,... and maybe this person bathes twice a day but wears the same clothes for a week... so a good quality scented washing powder and regular change of clothes is also a useful ploy to adopt.....
How do you handle this as friend? Go to the laundromat together?.. Nope. talk about it.. people don't learn unless they communicate.... you get to learn how to be diplomatic and achieve what you set out to.. they learn to smell like a rose...
If none of these alternatives work, then I understand there are prescriptive medications available for these symptoms.

Question : Does anyone have any pictures or instructions for grooming a Yorkie-Poo dog?
The groomer that I just took my dog to, shaved his entire body! I was SO upset! He doesn't even look like the same dog! I wanted him groomed but with the hair still long. HELP! I need some pictures to carry to my next groomer or to possibly do it myself.
Obviously I would not burn my dog. I do not appreciate the comment either.
Answer:
I am guessing your groomer shaved your dog because the dog's fur was matted. Do you remember if your dog had a lot of tangles or knots? I believe a yorkie-poo is part poodle. Both poodles and yorkies need a lot of grooming, I would say monthly professional grooming is needed and you should brush your dog daily to help keep out the mats. Dogs tend to get mats around the ears, under their legs, on their tummys and near their bottoms. What happens if the dog isn't brushed and groomed regularly is the dogs hair get really tangled and then it is really uncomfortable for the dog because the mats pull on the skin, trap dirt, etc. Imagine if you didn't brush your hair for months. When dogs are really matted the most painless way to remove the mats is to shave them out. Otherwise, it could take several hours of painful brushing to try to remove the mats, which is very uncomfortable and traumatic for the dog. So as your dog's hair is growing out, really focus on brushing it to keep out the matting and then next time you go to the groomer they will be able to give your dog the cut you want. Now, on the other hand, if your dog wasn't matted, the groomer may have either misunderstood your instructions or they didn't want to take the time to get out a few mats. I would ask people you know for a recommendation on a good groomer. Not all groomers are equal in their ability and especially in how they treat the dogs. A good groomer should have explained why they shaved the dog, and he/she should have probably called you in advance of shaving the dog to let you know what they were going to do. Lastly, I would probably not encourage you to try to shave/trim the dog yourself. It is trickier then it looks and if you do it incorrectly, you can cut the dog pretty seriously. Feel free to brush and bathe your pup at home though to keep the dogs coat in good condition. You happen to have a breed of dog that requires a lot of grooming, so it will be better for the dog and you if you can work on regular maintenance of the coat. Hope this helps!

Question : about male body hair?
I am an 18 year old male living in a college dorm. Above the waist I am not that hairy (peach fuzz on my back and a small superman patch on my chest, normal armpit hair), but below the waist I am a completely different person. My legs and, I am embarrassed to say my bum, are pretty hairy (I believe my genitals are normal though). I am very self conscious about this fact. I use a body groom to trim it back (though it grows quickly). My question is: do women find alot of hair on the legs (and maybe bum) of a man disgusting, and what would they think if they found out about my use of a bodygroom?
Answer:
It's a normal thing for a guy..

Question : What does this hamster body language really mean?
I have two dwarf hamsters, both are 1.5 year old. I like to watch them grooming cos its so fun and cute. My fav is to see them rubbing their head with paws, before that, they even rubbing paws swiftly as if applying oil on it, lol. Well, I was checking out their body languages for fun and noticed one said thats its actually an act of tenderness. I wonder what does it really mean? I always take it as a usual cleaning and grooming though.
Answer:
I've always been told by my eldest brother- he's 29 and used to keep loads of rodents, snakes, etc.- that it means their happy. My hamsters always seem to be grooming themselves, so their obviously happy then.

Question : Is it NECESSARY to buy lots of grooming products?
Is it really NECESSARY to buy things such as foot scrub, hand scrub, hand cream, foot cream? or even a body scrub? how about using a face scrub for your body/hand and feet? how about body lotion for hand and feet too? or are hand and feet products made for it cos its Necessary or is it made just to get customers to believe that they really NEED TO USE it?
Answer:
i only buy the basic grooming products. i use body lotion for my body, hand and feet (never use body lotion on the face because then body skin and the face are not the same). i even use my face scrub on the back of my body. (the face scrub have anti-acne properties in it, so i use it for my back because i have small acne there.
in my pov, theres no use to buy the complete set. but if u have severe skin condition that have special need, then buy them separately.

Question : Body Grooming, Not Shaving on Men?
I am curious what people think about men grooming their body, not acutally shaving, but if you have long under arm or chest hair (of course privates too), groom it to a nice neat length.
Answer:
Swimmers shave their bodies of all hair.
Some women find it masculine to have body hair, others find that too much, like the back or face to be gross.
Others find that too little hair is feminine.
I would think that trimming some of the privates would be okay, but more importantly would be to make sure you are not shedding or have any loose hairs down there if you are going to be intimate.
Also, shaving the testes and the general area down there would be nice for oral and tactile encounters.
I would leave your chest hair alone. It's so sexy and masculine. Seeing it poking out of a shirt is irrisistable to look at and screams: I am a MAN!
Same with the under arm hair. Sure, it makes putting your deoderant on tougher, but you can handle it. Keep it, that's what makes you a man, separates you from us and honestly, it's all damn sexy!
