Like new - and good for the environment
Quick, cheap and simple. The hard part was making sure I was ordering the right part (thanks to the Norelco website it wasn't too difficult). Replacing the heads made sense to me - why toss out a perfectly good shaver if the unit can be made to work as if new with the purchase of new heads? The razor works great with the new blades. They were simple to install. Note: it took longer to open the industrial strength packaging than it did to install the heads.
There are three complaints: 1) choosing the right replacement should be easier, 2) there was a good deal of wasted packaging, and 3) the cost of the heads was over half the cost of an new razor. But all-in-all a good choice.

It's like a brand new razor!
I hadn't bought replacement heads in quite some time. They are easy to install and made the razor shave like new. The only downside is the cost of the replacement heads.

I enjoy this product but they are to expensive!
I enjoy my Norelco shaver, and I can appreciate the precision needed to produce such a good product, but I have to say, that I feel that these blades/heads should last a heck of a lot longer, OR they should be a LOT cheaper!
Sorry to say, but I hope a company will start making a generic version of this product and sell them at a reasonable price, and cash in!

Air and Heads
The pack of Norelco replacement heads arrived quickly. The product package is about 3"x5"x.2". It was shipped in an Amazon book box approximately 12" x10"x4". I'm sure the mailman wondered if anything was in the box.
About the product, they sure are expensive. But the alternative is to buy a new shaver, at 3X the cost of the heads. Oh well, they should be good for a year or more.

HQ4plus replacement heads
Quick delivery. In original packaging. The shaver heads work great. The only downside is that they don't last long. They cost about $30 and only last about 12 to 18 months.

Ripped Off!
Since Amazon split my order of two items for shipment I had to pay additional shipping charges through yet another supplier just to get the Shaver Saver. Subtotal of Items: 1 ea. Shaver Saver was $7.68 (appeared to be a larger can than local retail; no description of size was indicated and the picture misled me!), Shipping & Handling: $5.95, Total for this Order: $13.63. Darn!! Walmart had it back in stock I noticed about a week later for under $4 plus tax for the same little 3+ ounce can.

I'm Really Starting To Like Remington...
I bought this to go with my MS2-200BPT Shaver. I saw a review that said that it kept the shaver running well. I've been using it for about 1 month and I couldn't agree more. A quick spray on the cutters after shaving, and the next time I use it, it runs like new. I can tell the difference in the smoothness and speed of the shaver since I've started using it. As a bonus, it seems to last quite a while. Another strong product from Remington!

An accessory to save you money
I switched to an electric shaver a few years ago and was introduced to the "Shaver Saver" as something that would lengthen the life of my shaver's replaceable parts (combs and blades). I give a quick shpritz once a week when I do a very thorough cleaning of the combs and blades, and everything seems to last longer. It will be quite a while until I need to replace the combs and blades and I attribute that to the Shaver Saver.
Rating :
Great Product
This Shaver Saver Cleaner/ Lubrication is a great product and does last for a while. It works best with a water proof/ resistant shaver. You dont need to buy a self-cleaning shaver if you get a water proof one and use the Shaver Saver.

QUICK LUBE AND CLEAN
I've been using Remington's Shaver Saver for 20 years. It keeps your shaver clean, lubricates well with not too much gooey oil, and works in an instant. I use a Remington MS2-100 Microscreen 2, and after a Shaver Saver treatment the shaver glides smoother over my face and shaves quicker and closer. A treatment seems to last for a while and I don't think it's necessary to use it every day. Usually 2 to 3 times a week seems to be sufficient and your shaver will continue to perfrom like new.

Questions & Answers
Question : How do I get rid of facial hair without shaving?
There are some places in my face where I prefer not to shave. Is there any hair removal creame or anything else that I can use? I don't want the hair to grow back thick which happens after shaving.
Answer:
Try Sally Hansen Creme Hair Remover for the face. It's excellent.

Question : What is the best shaving products for women?
What do you think is the best razor and shaving cream for women? I want to get a new one but dont know what to get.
Answer:
I'm a big fan of the "Intuition" by Schick. It's got it's own soap bar surrounding the razor head so you don't need shaving cream!
|
Question : what is the best shaving razor for women?
I need to buy a shaving razor but I don't know which one is good. I've been using the regular gillete but that's not working so well. What shaving razors would you recommend? I mean to shave like leg and underarm hair?
btw, are schik razors good? my mom uses one of those and it has two blades.
Answer:
I reccomend the Venus Embrace. I have a LOT of trouble finding a good razor - I had trouble with Gillete too. Once I tried the Venus, my legs and under arms were the smoothest they've been in MONTHS.. aka I could actually SKIP a day! Definitely check it out - plus there's satisfaction guaranteed, so what's to lose?!

Question : What can you use before or after shaving bikini area to prevent razor bumps?
I hate frickin' razor burn!!! How can I prevent it? Is there something I can use before shaving, after shaving, or both? And why do I only get razor burn "there"? I never get it on my legs or armpits.
Answer:
no one ever believes me on this one, but just trust me. after you get out of the shower, or after you shave, put a thin layer of deodorant on the area with your finger. think about it, when's the last time you got razor burn in your armpit???
It works like a charm... trust me.

Question : How do I prevent shaving rash and ingrown hairs?
I wet shave with good quality shaving foam but always end up with what look like red spots and a rash. How can i stop this from happening? I also get ingrown hairs.
Answer:
Maybe you might be pressing-on too hard,
(when in a hurry, you are more likely to press-on and hack at your legs, thereby causing razor burn and cuts)
Just let the razor rest on & glide over your legs with only gravity to press it on you. you will still cut the hairs like this, pressing on wont cut the hairs any shorter. ;-)

Question : What is the ideal way of shaving arms and legs?
I use a razor to shave my arms and legs. I use the specially formulated shaving foam for women, I wet the area well and always change the blades on a regular basis. But whatever I do, my skin does not feel smooth and I always get razor burn. So I must be doing something wrong. Please help.
Answer:
Your skin is probably just getting dry because you are shaving so much.. it would help to mosturize your legs & arms as soon as you shaved them... and if you shave them everyday.. if possible - give them a break for a couple days.. you will notice a change.. & then the shave will become even smoother & you'll have nice skin... something I do, which REALLY helps.. is once you're out of the shower, & done shaving.. use baby oil gel.. and rub some on your arms and legs & and then rub your legs & arms w/a towel.. and then apply your regular lotion.. & you should see a big improvement.. I hope I helped.. because I had the same problem..

Question : Is shaving your face beneficial or detrimental to the skin?
Just wondering if there are any benefits (aside from aesthetic benefits of course) to shaving my face. Also, are there any drawbacks to shaving regularly (every day excluding weekends)?
If it helps, I am a 17 year old male, mixed race (Indian, Asian, African). Just putting that in because certain races have different skin types. Anyways, thanks.
Answer:
well, if you shave completely clean supposedly it exfoliates your skin. i hear this about women and shaving their legs all the time. i can't imagine why it would be bad for you unless you cut yourself

Question : What razor to use when shaving male pubic hair?
What razor should I use when shaving pubic hair? I read online that female razors is the best way to go, and to not use an electric razor. The only problem is that I do not own a female razor, and I would feel pretty weird if I went up to a local store and purchased a female razor. Any advice?
Answer:
you can use anything

Question : What causes an electric shaver to pull hairs out instead of shaving the hairs?
I have a Norelco ladies shaver that started pulling hairs out instead of shaving the hairs like it's supposed to. The shaver is clean and the battery charge is perfect. The shaving foil doesn't look worn.
What may cause a shaver to start pulling hairs out? Does it have anything to do with the shaving foil or the cutter block or something else? I'd hate to buy a new shaving foil and cutter block only to find out that the shaver is still pulling hairs...then I've lost money on replacement parts.
Thanks for any help.
My shaver is not new, and so it makes sense that the blades are not as sharp as they once were. Sometimes the shaver actually shaves hair, and sometimes it pulls hair.
Answer:
Dull blades will pull hair, increases risk of ingrown hairs, and just don't do the job.

Question : How do you avoid pimples when shaving the vagina?
I've been shaving for a few months, at first it was smooth but recently it's become pimpled. Tried using hair removal cream and waxing but neither work. Wondered how to avoid getting pimples and if there's any way of removing them.
Answer:
apply honey
