Braun 8595 - My Best Shave in Forty-Five Years!
My Braun #8595 Activator hands-down provides the best shave I have ever received - by any other electric shaver, by any kind of razor - disposable or otherwise, and by any professional barber!
Most important is the great job it does on neck hairs. It absolutely provides the smoothest shave on that most-difficult area that I have EVER had - by ANY means.
The cleaning feature is an important aspect of added finesse to an already excellent product. The cleaning results are also even better than advertised.
Considering the typically excellent lifespan of Braun products, and the quality of performance this product offers, comparing the annual cost of operation to the ownership enjoyment this product provides should be of practically no consideration!
UNQUALIFIEDLY RECOMMENDED!

Very nice product!
Bought this item refurbished, saved a bunch of money, and have a very nice product. No complaints so far - very close shave!

After years of Trial not too pleased
I have been an avid user of Braun for at least 5 years. I switched from Norelco, because I was instructed by a friend that Braun was the least-skin-effecting product. I have taken so long to realize but I have to run my Braun particularly this 8595 over and over and over again on my face, before I can get a smooth surface on my skin. The previous models worked much better for shaving. I change the blades in time, keep it clean and follow all instructions. In fact I changed the previous blade again to the more expensive 360 and it still didn't do it. Today, incidentally, I got so tired of trying to get the stub out, I used just a disposable razor and took out the stub in ONE stroke! I hope the newer Braun's are better. I am afraid to spend all that money and find that it sucks like this one.

Best I've ever owned!!!
This is the first electric/battery powered shaver that can handle two weeks of beard by itself.

One of the Best Men's Electric Shaver
My husband loves it. For years, he's used several different electric shaver but none gave him the close shave like a regular razor. This one gives him the close shave that he likes. He also likes the self-cleaning and portability. Says it saves him a lot of time in the morning because it's much faster than manual shaving - and a lot less messy.

| Editorial Review :
Remington produced the world’s first electric shaver in 1937, and continues to be a leader in shaving technology. Ergonomically styled with a no-slip grip, the MicroScreen Ultra promises a superior shave even on tough spots, thanks to three independently flexing screens that hug face and neck contours. A three-position trimmer, coated with titanium for superior strength and cutting ability, pops up to work in tandem with the screens, or alone to quickly trim a beard or mustache. An added benefit of this razor is that it can be used either with the 5-foot stretch cord or without, and features quick charge. A one-hour quick charge provides 60 minutes of shaving time, while a five-minute charge is enough for one shave. This model features a green light that indicates the shaver is either charging or charged, and a red low-battery light. Cleaning the razor after each shave is simple. Just squeeze the two release buttons, pull off the head, and blow, brush, or rinse out any stubble. A cleaning brush is included, along with a zippered, padded carry pouch, protective head guard, and a removable cord that stretches to about five feet. The shaver automatically converts to other voltages worldwide, making it great for travel. Remington covers the shaver with a 30-day money-back guarantee, and a two-year warranty against defects.--Ann Bieri

every day for SEVEN years
ed600 said "This shaver may last you a few months - a year, 2 to 3 years will be a stretch."
Well, I disagree.
I've been using nothing but my Remington ms3 2700 every day for SEVEN years. I clean the unit very quickly after every use and purchase replacement foils when necessary (about every 2 years). I just bought my second Remington ms3 2700 after an internal plastic part broke due to rigorous cleaning. This unit isn't perfect, but nothing is.
(And by "clean very quickly" I mean that I open the top and let the little hairs fall out.)

Terrible battery life - they wear out after a few months
This is my 2nd Remington shaver. The first one I bought was battery only. Its batteries died relatively quickly. I took it apart and wired directly from the rectifier to the motor, but it runs very slowly when shaving, and hardly at all with the trimmer engaged.
So I bought the cord/cordless version thinking cord operation would be available when needed. Once I got it and read the manual, I noted that battery lifespan would be degraded if you operate corded. So I operated it on battery until fully discharged. Still, the batteries degraded rapidly - after a few months its less than a minute.
I suspect a corded only version would work fine.
One of the 2 razors had its trimmer pop upwards and outwards at an odd angle **the first day I had it** upon pressing of the activation button. It popped back in but periodically did that throughout its life. I developed the habit of putting my finger over the foil, sticking out over where the trimmer would be so it couldn't do this.
Oh, and the cap doesn't stay on at all, which allows the foil to get damaged. Hardly any razors I've had over my adult life have a decent cap that doesn't fall off if you put it pretty much anywhere it'll be touched by anything.
I do like the shave it gave and the trimmer works well enough.
I compare it to numerous Braun razors I've had over the years: batteries are fine (several years), but they don't tend to shave my particular face as well.
So: good shave, terrible battery life, mediocre quality.

Exceptional Shaver
This is simply a great shaver and has been perfectly reliable for the almost 5-years that I've owned it, requiring just normal, periodic maintenance. I've traveled all over the world with this thing and it's shaves great! No pinching or biting and the side trimmer is really handy. I clean it out whenever I recharge it (approx every 2 to 2-1/2 weeks) and change the foil and cutters once per year (Approx $14 on Amazon). Additionally, like all rechargeable products, you should NEVER recharge the battery until it's fully or almost fully discharged and since I've done this since I bought it almost 5-years ago, it continues its reliable service. I'd buy another for sure whenever this one eventually wears out completely. After all, nothing lasts forever.

Do not let someone get this for you
Hello. I'm seventeen and reaching the age where I need a razor. I've tried disposable razors but don't like the itchiness left to the skin. I mentioned in passing to my parents that I would like an electric razor. I would be happy to find a good one if they would order it by the end of the week.
The next day, my mom told me not to worry; she had just ordered one.
[...]I look at it and immediately frown. I did a little research on my own and had never heard of Remington as a reputable razor. I heard of Norelco, Braun, and Panasonic and had been hoping for one of those. So I grudgingly take it, and try to shave. I have relatively smooth skin with small hair "patches". I tried shaving for 25 minutes to no avail. I now have very itchy skin and hair growing. I'm back to using disposables until I get a new razor. I can't return it because my mom threw out the receipt and packing stuff.

Fast delivery - average product quality
The shaver came within the time frame promised and it provides a close shave, but after using it for a few weeks now I've noticed the battery life is a lot worse than my last Remington MS3. This one only lasts about 1-1/2 shaves before needing a charge and my old would last a week or more! I'm not sure if it sat on the shelf too long before selling, the battery in the new shavers are weaker than the old, or perhaps infant mortality of the battery (i.e. bad batch of batteries?). Not very happy with this shaver...

Seems like a great value
Three years ago I bought the Panasonic ES8152NC from Amazon, and I raved about it in my review. Well, I didn't buy the ES7058 from Amazon but I got it for a similar price and thought you would want to know that 3 years on these shavers are quieter, even better looking than before, give a closer and quicker shave, are even easier to clean...and all for around fifty notes.

Good replacement for a normal wet razor.
I've been shaving with gillete razors and other disposable brands for all my adult life. I recently grew tired of all the hassle of prepping my face for the shave, etc. and decided to try this razor out. The first couple of shaves were good but I'd have to finish off with a quick pass of a razor. It's gotten better with time and it really provides a very close and even shave. Definitely recommend it. I didn't give it a five because the shape and size are a little clunky in my hands, but that just might be me not having used electric razors before.

This is the best !!!
I have used a wet & dry Panasonic ES8033 electric razor for 6 years, change the blades on an annual basis and it shaves as good as day one. I saw this Panasonic with the Vortex Triple Blade Hydraclean System on sale and decided to give it a try and to retire my older Panasonic to my travel bag. This shaver is leaps and bounds above the older Panasonic in a number of ways. I shave my head every other day in the shower and this newer one shaves great ( not as good as a razor blade ), but very close to it. The shaver plugs directly to the cord so you don't have to use the Hydraclean system. When I am done I just pop the foil off and rinse it under a stream of water, just like the old one, and it's clean as new. The price on this Vortex model is 1/3 what I paid for my older Panasonic. The pivot Action Shaving System is flexible and rocks over you face to get into crevices , over mounds, etc.. I'm sold on Panasonic electric razors.

Dissatisfied
This "premium" shaver gives a close shave but leaves my face irritated. After only a few months the battery started to fail and then worked only with a cord. This is my third experience with Remington battery failures. They are far below the norm. It seems that the more gadgets and displays the shavers have, the more likely thay are to fail.

It is Good. Difficult to clear the stubs below the jaws.

An uncomfortable shave
After 7 months of use, I thought my neck was adjusting but no. It makes my neck sore. The charge on the battery does not last long. The plastic cover for the heads broke quickly and never fit snuggly. I will never buy Remington again

Really good for the price
I've been using this product for over nine months now. It still shaves fine with the original set of rotating blades. You can't expect the quality of a non-electric, though. The key to a good shave using this is to not move around really quick, but to spend a few seconds at each location. Cleaning is as easy as placing it under running water for a few seconds. It needs to be charged after 3-4 shaves, and I've used it with some success in the shower too. Overall, a good value for the money. It loses a star because I hoped it would be as good as a non-electric... I don't think there's any product out there that is.

ajustment period
Overall a good razor, however my skin seemed to take a long time(at least 2 weeks)before adjusting to this razor. I experienced a lot of cuts at first. It is easy to clean and maintain

Question : what is the best shaving razor for women?
I need to buy a shaving razor but I don't know which one is good. I've been using the regular gillete but that's not working so well. What shaving razors would you recommend? I mean to shave like leg and underarm hair?
btw, are schik razors good? my mom uses one of those and it has two blades.
Answer:
I reccomend the Venus Embrace. I have a LOT of trouble finding a good razor - I had trouble with Gillete too. Once I tried the Venus, my legs and under arms were the smoothest they've been in MONTHS.. aka I could actually SKIP a day! Definitely check it out - plus there's satisfaction guaranteed, so what's to lose?!

Question : What razor to use when shaving male pubic hair?
What razor should I use when shaving pubic hair? I read online that female razors is the best way to go, and to not use an electric razor. The only problem is that I do not own a female razor, and I would feel pretty weird if I went up to a local store and purchased a female razor. Any advice?

Question : does shaving really make your hair come back quicker and or thicker?
A lot of people say different things and I don't know who's right and who's wrong, does shaving or waxing make your hair come back darker, thicker and quicker. Are there any other alternatives to get rid of hair with out these effects?
Answer:
Hi:
I am a Registered Nurse and have been doing laser hair removal for 12 years. I know quite a bit about the anatomy and physiology of the body and HAIR.
Shaving DOES NOT make your hair grow back thicker and quicker.
Lets think about this with common sense for a moment:
The hair follicle penetrates through the skin and grows due to the root of the hair. There are 3 hair cycles which determine hair growth. Anagen, Telogen and Catagen. All of these factors take place at the root of the hair under the skin.
It's like a flower pot: plant a seed and a flower will grow through the soil. Much like the hair follicle.
Since shaving is none invasive and you are only cutting the hair from the top than how could it possibly have any affect on the hair growth determined by the root of the hair under the skin?
When you shave it grows back stubbly and because we dont always shave evenly and the hairs grow in different directions so when we cut the hairs off with the razor and the hairs dont follow in unison you get the feeling that there is more, BUT IT'S A MYTH.
As to what you can do, if you can afford it try laser hair removal. If funds are low, WAX. Waxing pulls the hair out of the root and after several years of waxing your hair root will become weaker and the hair will grow in finer.
Good Luck,
Michelle of

Question : Does shaving cream take the paint off of vehicles?
I'm planning a prank, but I don't want to harm any property. I need to know if shaving cream will harm a vehicle in any way.
Answer:
Shaving cream can be washed off easily. for your prank to be more effective, use something like nivea cream. it's really greasy and hard to come off. someone had done it to our teacher (happy times), they'd put lots of blobs of nivea cream (could be any other greasy cream=as in moisturizer) all over the car and then put little balls of coloured cotton wool on each of them. looked great, but you should have heard him swear...

Question : How many days after shaving should you wait till you wax your legs?
Okay girls we all know if you shave you only get one day of smoothness which is why i like waxing but the bad things is you have to wait so long for the hair to be long enough for the wax strips so, how many days do you wait after shaving untill you wax?
Answer:
Hair typically grows half an inch per month but the hair on your legs has to be at least a 1/4 inch long for the wax to grab and hair to come off on the fabric strip.
So 2 weeks is the right time to wait if you want a good clean wax job. Wear pants until then, it won't kill you. And besides, since hair grows at different rates from the root, you will find that you will have to wax less and less as time goes on.

Question : How do i get rid of dark hair follicles after shaving?
i shave but i don't use shaving cream. i just think its useless
and i know the dark hair follicles or dots that i see on my skin is the hair under the skin. so im wondering if using shaving cream before i shave would make a difference or using one of those shaving lotions or waxing.
i've tried shaving lotions (nair and veet) but after i usedt them, my legs got itchy and irritated.
I dont need a tan, i'm already a sort of brown-ish color but my hair is black
Answer:
You can't do anything except waxing, and even that doesn't always take out the root.
Get a TAN.
