Disappointed
After having only used the 9595 for 9 months with TLC, the silver front "Pulsonic" fell off foil and cutter cassette and cannot be put back on. Naturally not covered under 2 year warranty. Disappointed in this workmanship. My hubby loves the razor.

The Benchmark of Shavers!
Just replaced my foil and cutterblock for my Braun Pulsonic System 9595 and it is like having a brand new shaver. When it comes to shavers, Braun is the benchmark...continually improving on each model they introduce.
For those only giving this item 1 star, you expectation are unrealistic. Worse, if you bought the product and were not happen with it, then you have returned it.
The foil and cutterblocks are going to vary from one person to another as to how long they last. Whether you shave daily, hair type, and how much you have to shave.
Above all, it is hard to find a better shaver on the market.

Braun 9000 series shavers
The prices on the Braun accessories are about as good as I could find on the 'net. The 9000 series are advertised as a significant improvement over previous models. I do not see a significant difference. I still get a faster, closer shave from my old 2000 series Braun shaver.

close shave
I used the replacement on my pulsonic razor and it works as well as when it was new nice close shave for an electric razor..

over hyped
Having used a Braun shaver for several years, I was looking to the newer Pulsonic shaver last year. Unfortunately, I found myself having to work twice as hard to get a good shave. I thought maybe the problem was with the cutting blades, so I ordered a new foil and cutterblock. After a few weeks of use, I don't see an enormous improvement. I still have to work harder and longer than my original Braun. Even then, my 5 o'clock shadow seems to be arriving more like 2 o'clock.

Not Bad, Not Great
I've been using the shaver for a little over 3 months now. It's very quiet, the charge lasts a couple of weeks, but the shaver takes 3 to 4 swipes over a 1-day growth stubble to fully cut it to a somewhat smooth level. The sideburn trimmer is useless - have to use a razor there. Also have to use a razor for errant neck hairs. All in all, not bad but not great.

Philips Norelco 7140 Cord/Cordless Rechargeable Shaver
I bought this shaver for my husband for our anniversary, and he said it's a great razor for a first timer using electric razors. However, the process of shaving is longer than using a regular razor. Overall, a great buy for the price!

Norelco 7140
I've used the Norelco for years with very good performance. This particular model is OK for light shaving (I only keep it in my motorhome)but does not have the better motor or shaving heads as top line models. Also, this model does not feature a low battery warning light so it's a guessing game as to when charging is needed. However, it's good value for the money.

Quick, close shave
I bought this so I can shave quickly and have a cut-free face. This thing is great for that! The life for this thing is about two weeks if you use it everyday and then you have to charge it, or if you want you use it with the wire on and don't have to worry about the battery. Overall, this is a great shaver for a great price compared to the stores, no lie. Highly recommended

Super shaver beats out pricey ones
I've always bought the more expensive Panasonic wet & dry shavers...for over 15 years. This is the best shaver for the money, and it does just as good a job.

Inexpensive + works well = 5 stars
OK - for the same price as a replacement blade/foil for my previous shaver, the decision to buy the Panasonic Pro Curve was a no-brainer. Now after using for about a month, I have no regrets. Nice, close, comfortable shave. If the cost was $150 then the review may have been less than 5 stars, but I've never seen a wet/dry rechargable shaver this affordable - the value is awesome. Plus, as a bonus, the trimmer works very well. Why are you wasting your time reading all these reviews? Get it - you won't be sorry.

Panasonic ES4026MC Shaver
Best shaver to get at such a low price! The design of this shaver is extremely functional with an ideal cutting area that's easy to maneuver around your face whether you're trimming a beard, shaving around a beard, or just shaving your entire face. Easy and comfortable to hold, the shaver holds a charge very well, is quiet, and shaves nice and close. The Panasonic line offers the option of a wet shave, including shaving with a foam or gel. I've found you get the most lubrication and closest shave using a gel such as Edge, but a dry shave is almost as close and smooth. The pop-up edge trimmer works well and is easy to use. The charger base is about the size of a wall adapter, plugs directly into the outlet, and the shaver sits directly on top of the charger, so it's best used in the top outlet of a receptacle. I think you'll be very happy with the choice of this shaver. The price and quality can't be beat!

I found it very easy to make a selection for the item I wanted and was extremely satisfied with the way my purchase was handled, especially in being informed several times of the stage the process was at. I have since returned to amazon for another purchase.I found it very convenient to just deal with Amazon and not the seller.

Norelco RQ10 Shaving Heads

Replacement Heads work fine
My advice to anyone that uses this shaver - Replace the heads as soon as any visible wear occurs. Otherwise you can get many small cuts you won't notice at first but will progressively worsen.

DOES A POOR JOB OF SHAVING
i PURCHASED THIS, WHAT i ASSUMED TO BE NEW shaving part for my Norelco electric razor. I threw away the old part but thnk this one does a very poor job of shaving. I even tried using preshave which, I never had to do with the original blades. I feel the new part is not as good as what I had. In reading the manual for my norelco, which is just a little over a year, it said once a year you did need to replace the shaving bladss. This I did but cannot understand how it does such a poor job. I use my automatic cleaner and new fluid etc. I am reverting back to the old shaving creme and regular manual razor to get a decent shave. Glad you asked for this review. Chuck Wood

Very High Tech
The Shave: The floating heads on the Norelco electric shaver really do a good job of conforming to the curves of my face. It takes me about five minutes to shave according to the built in timer on the handle. The shave is much more uniform than that of the Braun 3615 that I have been using for the past few years. However, the shave is not as close. Before the Braun, I used a Norelco 5801. This model is a big improvement over the old Norelco which was slow and not very close at all.. The trade-off with respect to the Braun is one of a closer shave using the Braun vs. a more uniform shave with the new Norelco.
Maintenance: The clippings are collected in pockets under the shaving heads, This is an advantage in that the clippings are not scattered over the bathroom sink as they are with some electric razors. The pockets have to be cleaned out every shave or two. This is not a big problem. It only takes a few seconds. The manual indicates that the RQ10 shaving head assembly must be replaced every year. Amazon offers the RQ10 for $35. By contrast the Braun cutter and foil assembly which lasts for about one year sells on Amazon for around $24.
If you are buying this product, I suggest that you search Amazon and Google for the best price.

New replacment blades for Arcitec Shaver
Hi, When I bought the Arcitec I bought a spare replacement head. About a year later put it in the razor what a good difference. I knew I would want to do this again. So when I saw the price break on Amazon, I ordered the replacement blades. The reason I did not give 5 stars was not the product or price but the fact that I had to pay shipping even through I am a prime shipping member. For $280/year think all shipments would be included, no matter what excuses Amazon gives. You can bet I will not be getting prime again.

Not the best, but the best for the price
Absolutely the best low cost electric razor available. Extremely close, comfortable shave. Good ergonomical design. Not the best, but absolutely the best for the money. No other brand can touch it in this price range.

I was skeptical
I had serious doubts about switching to electric but I figured, what the heck - its under $40 and people seem to like it. Overall, its an awesome product. One thing I'll say is that it took me at least two months to get used to. Also, if you have a tiny washbin get ready to clean up afterward (tiny cut hairs). But in terms of closeness and convenience, you can't go wrong with this thing. Recommended

this shaver + my face = pain, bumps, & redness
This is my second electric shaver purchase ever (not counting a beard-trimmer). First one being a Norelco, when I was 15, which I used happily for ~7 years. I certainly have no ill feelings towards Braun or this shaver; it's starting to become pretty clear to me that it's A GOOD THING there are so many different brands and types of shavers. What works perfectly for one guy may be the worst thing ever for someone else. So... that said, here's my experience.
Bought this from a local Target store and was pretty psyched, based on all these reviews. I was STILL pretty excited a minute after my first shave (even though it took me 5+ minutes to do it). Two minutes after though, I started to feel the burn. Man, was I scared after five minutes. ... I'll save you all the gory details. Suffice it to say, I gave it a chance for two weeks and that was all I could stand. The initial excitement was due to the fact that it cut very close to the skin (was NOT expecting this--my old Norelco wasn't a very close shave), but it still missed MANY hairs. I don't understand why. The result of this: every time I ended up running it over my face repeatedly, repeatedly, repeatedly.. trying to get all the random stray hairs (which irritated my face all the more). This means it has been sitting in the box it came in for the last two weeks and is going back to Braun.
In summary, I really like: price, design--it's so slim (much cooler than my old bulky rotary Norelco). I didn't like: it's CRAZY-LOUD--I mean, you'll-be-afraid-your-hotel-neighbors-will-call-the-front-desk-on-you loud; trimmer-thing is scary and seems dangerous (though I suppose it isn't); it's not easy to clean at all (running it under water doesn't really clean the blades--neither does brushing); it irritates my face horribly and doesn't get all the hair in two or three.. or four passes.
So there you go. That's my experience. Take it with a grain of salt--that's really all you can do with these reviews. Here's to hoping your next shaver purchase is a good fit for you!

Not a Good Electric Shaver
When my last electric razor stopped working, I had to purchase a new one. The Braun model I had previously owned was no longer being manufactured. However, since I had such a good experience using that Braun electric razor, I looked for the Braun model currently available that was closest in style and features as my last razor. That Braun electric razor that was closest to my last one was the Braun FreeControl 1775. This shaver is very similar in size and style as my old razor was. It also has some of the same features: a long hair trimmer, foil protection cap, and a rechargeable power cord.
In addition to the usual dry brush cleaning method, the Braun FreeControl 1775 also has a shaving head that can be cleaned by rinsing with soap and water. This was a feature I was really looking forward to as the shaving head of my previous electric razor could not be cleaned this way.
I have been using the Braun FreeControl 1775 Shaver for about three months now and though it is similar in size and style as the previous Braun electric razor I owned, it is not a very good electric razor at all. With my old Braun razor I was able to usually shave in five minutes or less, even if I hadn't shaved for 7-10 days. It now takes at least twice as long for me to shave each morning. The main reason for this is that the 1775 doesn't shave very close to the face and it takes 2-4 times shaving over the same area before that area is smooth. Even doing that, the 1775 doesn't cut all the hairs on one's face; I usually have to go back over my face with a regular razor after using the 1775 because of the random hairs it misses.
The 1775 is a nice looking razor, but it just doesn't do the job very well at all.
Rating :
An inefficient, time-consuming shaver
My frustration with this shaver is how long it takes to get the job done. You have to repeatedly go over and over the same skin in order to get all the stubble, whereas an "old-fashioned" disposable, multi-blade shaver that is used with shaving cream usually requires only one, maybe two passes.
The other limitation of this shaver is that it does poorly with anything other than short stubble. If the hair is an eighth of an inch or longer, you have to cut it down to size with the attached trimmer, then go back to it with the shaver. You have to use the same process with a hair that is lying flat against the neck.
In conclusion, I would NOT buy this style of shaver again. My next shaver will be another Norelco with rotary blades.

Question : How do I prevent skin irritation on my neck from shaving?
I have to shave each day for work, so shaving every second day isn't an option. Right now I'm using a Mach 3. I've tried using Neutrogena Razor Defense and Nivea after shave sensitive balm, but the results aren't what I want.
Answer:
This is the best solution I found after much experimentation. First massage skin very thoroughly with an essential oil(olive , coconut, almond are very good) Then apply shaving cream on top. I actually do not like shaving creams so I use body lotion. Then shave. No matter how close you shave you will not get any rritation or razor burn. You will not need any after shave balms or whatever. They simply don't help, are expensive and a waste of money. If you massage skin with oil frequently it will greatly benefit it and make it not so sensitive.

Question : What can I do with sensitive skin and shaving?
I have always had very sensitive skin. When I shave I get tiny little bumps on my legs - mainly my thighs. It's really embarrassing! Are there any alternatives besides waxing? I use shaving gel, even the kind for sensitive legs, but it doesn't seem to help.
Answer:
Shaving gel is a gimmic. I don't have sensitive skin, but it's very dry and I've found even the best shaving cream for dry, sensitive skin does nothing but dry my skin out even more.
Exfoliate your skin first to get rid of any bumps from dry, dead skin building up. This also helps with ingrown hairs...My husband doesn't shave his legs, never has, but I notice his thighs have a lot of ingrown hairs and exfoliating helps get rid of them.
Use a thick, moisturizing conditioner instead of shaving cream. It's thick enough to protect your legs plus it moisturizes as well. And make sure you have a new razor too...the newer the razor, the fewer the knicks and cuts.
You don't want the water to be too hot. This can dry your skin out, and even if it's sensitive...this can make it more sensitive. It's also better to shave after the skin has been soaking for a while. So if you have a bathtub...just lay in there and relax in the warm-mildly hot water for 10 or 15 minutes, then shave.

Question : how do you get rid of irritaion from legs after shaving?
I've had razor irritation on my legs for the longest. Every time i shave I get red bumps on my legs. I ve tried mostly every type of razor and the schick quatro is the one that gives me the least irritaion. I dont have the kind of money to go out and wax my legs every week. And Nair really really irritates my legs. I've used shaving cream but it didnt help much. So is there anything i can do to get rid of irritation?
Answer:
You need to shave at the end of your shower. Let your legs absorb some moisture first. Use the quatro and use a moisturizing shave gel. Mosturize as soon as you get out of the shower. If you want to try waxing, you don't have to do it every week. The first couple of times it might only last 2 weeks or so, but the more you do it the longer the results last.

Question : does shaving really make your hair come back quicker and or thicker?
A lot of people say different things and I don't know who's right and who's wrong, does shaving or waxing make your hair come back darker, thicker and quicker. Are there any other alternatives to get rid of hair with out these effects?
Answer:
Hi:
I am a Registered Nurse and have been doing laser hair removal for 12 years. I know quite a bit about the anatomy and physiology of the body and HAIR.
Shaving DOES NOT make your hair grow back thicker and quicker.
Lets think about this with common sense for a moment:
The hair follicle penetrates through the skin and grows due to the root of the hair. There are 3 hair cycles which determine hair growth. Anagen, Telogen and Catagen. All of these factors take place at the root of the hair under the skin.
It's like a flower pot: plant a seed and a flower will grow through the soil. Much like the hair follicle.
Since shaving is none invasive and you are only cutting the hair from the top than how could it possibly have any affect on the hair growth determined by the root of the hair under the skin?
When you shave it grows back stubbly and because we dont always shave evenly and the hairs grow in different directions so when we cut the hairs off with the razor and the hairs dont follow in unison you get the feeling that there is more, BUT IT'S A MYTH.
As to what you can do, if you can afford it try laser hair removal. If funds are low, WAX. Waxing pulls the hair out of the root and after several years of waxing your hair root will become weaker and the hair will grow in finer.
Good Luck,
Michelle of

Question : Is it dangerous to have a shaving cream fight on a hard surface?
It has been a tradition at my school for many years for the seniors to have a big shaving cream fight on the last day of school on our "senior patio" outside. This year the administration has decided to end this because it is not "safe" because most shaving cream is oil based and that could make us slip and hurt ourselves. How can we convince them this is not so dangerous or if you believe it is dangerous, what can we do to keep our shaving cream fight on this patio? Thank you for your help!
Answer:
F the administration, do it anyways. America is such a nation of bed-wetting, cover-my-a**-cause-of -fear-of-being-sued
pansies that it makes me sick to live here. Our founding fathers would be ashamed.
What's the worst they can do? Keep you from your graduation ceremony? At least you would have a fun memory of good times with your friends and keeping a tradition instead of some picture taking pompous parade because you folded and let yourself be bullied and intimidated into choosing safety over fun.
Personally I'd try to get everyone to smuggle a can of shaving cream into the graduation ceremony and have the fight there. Much more of a statement and way cooler.

Question : What is a good non aerosol shaving cream for dry, sensitive skin that is prone to shaving irritation?
My all-time favorite shaving product, Edge Active Care Deep Hydrating Shave Cream, has been discontinued. I am desperate to find a worthy replacement that will minimize bumps and irritation. I also need something that will not dry my skin out. No aerosol cans, please. Reasonable price, under $10, is a plus.

Question : How do I prevent shaving rash and ingrown hairs?
I wet shave with good quality shaving foam but always end up with what look like red spots and a rash. How can i stop this from happening? I also get ingrown hairs.
Answer:
Maybe you might be pressing-on too hard,
(when in a hurry, you are more likely to press-on and hack at your legs, thereby causing razor burn and cuts)
Just let the razor rest on & glide over your legs with only gravity to press it on you. you will still cut the hairs like this, pressing on wont cut the hairs any shorter. ;-)

Question : What is the better product to use when shaving for a guy to eliminate ingrown hairs?
I keep getting ingrown hairs from shaving . I use been a gel for a mach 3 razor , but then I changed to a shaving creme. What do you think is better for you to get stop the ingrown hairs?
Answer:
My husband has this same problem and he uses a cream that is Rx only. The tube is Dark yellow and brown and on it it says Clioquinol 3% with Hydrocortisone 1% cream. I believe its by Qualitest. This cream works very well for him.
