EXCELLENT PRODUCT

IS A GREAT ELECTRIC SHAVER VERY EASY TO USE AND LEAVE A CLEAN SHAVED SKIN I'LL RECOMEND IT

A great compromise

I love this thing. It's just right for me.

This is definitely a compromise. It's not as good a shaver as, say, a Braun Syncro, and the trimmer is not as good as a dedicated Wahl trimmer. For example, you can't set the trimmer for longer hair. Short beards only, please.

Still, the trimmer has a small end that's good enough for ear and nose hair. You can use it in the shower and you can clean it with water. For me, though, the biggest advantage is that I can replace a bathroom drawer full of gizmos, their cases, chargers and accessories with this one unit.

Much nicer.

Great Shaver Great Price

I first bought one of these a few years back from Longs Drug Store. It cost $69.00+ tax. Ouch! After a few years the battery started to die. I thought, I could buy a new battery for Probably $29.00. Then I noticed on amazon I could buy the whole shaver for $25.00. And, the best part is that this shaver is better than the one I originaly bought for three times the money. $25.00 is all anyone should pay for a shaver becuase the real money that you'll spend is on replacement blades and foils. It costs me $29.99 every 6 months for new blades, but if you keep sharp blades in it, the performance will be better. Nice Shaver, Highly Recomended!

Not what I expected.

This shaver does not perform for me. The manufacturer states that it takes 3 to 4 weeks for one's face and beard to adjust to the shaver. So, during this time one is supposed to accept having a partially shaved look? Not recommended.

Best shaver value

I have 5 sons, this is the most dependable shaver and best priced shaver I have found. In a years worth of shaving, we have experienced no problems. They each have their own.

Editorial Review :

Lightweight and shaped to fit the hand comfortably, this electric razor delivers a smooth shave either with or without a cord. A floating cutter trims long hairs, and then a thin platinum foil follows along to shave close to the skin. Push a button and the cutter retracts for shaving with the foil alone. Push the button again, and up pops a trimmer for mustache and sideburns. The shaver works worldwide on 110- to 240-volt systems and can be recharged by a 12-volt car or boat battery. It recharges fully in one hour for 30 minutes of shaving time. A green light signals when charging is underway. The shaver carries a two-year warranty against defects (foil and cutter block excluded). --Fred Brack

Can't finish the job

I've used Braun and Remington shavers for more than 20 years. My 2-day stubble is a good challenge for any electric shaver. This shaver gives me a close shave. I like the combi shave feature. The trimmer is useless. It reminds me of my dog's dew claws (I had those removed). I'm disappointed that Braun didn't pay attention to the trimmer. It means I have to have another tool to finish the job. They should improve the trimmer and offer a free replacement or coupon to owners of the 3612.

Braun 3612 Interface Rechargeable Shaver

Excellent product. This is the second unit that I have purchased - the first one lasted about 8 years and I replaced the foil/cutter twice during that time. The rechargeable battery finally would not charge to full potential and a new foil/cutter was needed, so I purchased another unit thru Amazon for not much more than the cost of the foil/cutter at Walgreens! I would highly recommend this shaver for anyone who wants a rechargeable men's foil type shaver.

Excellent, flexible shaver. Has pop up device for long hairs, pop up trimmer for side burns and moustache, and gives a very good close shave in third position. Have been using this model for many years.

Questions & Answers
Question : Which is better for razor bumps (ingrown hairs) on the neck, electric shavers or blades?
Any suggestions? I get razor bumps around my neck area, currently using a blade (mach 3), will changing to an electric razor cause more problems or help?

Answer:
don't try to shave over ingrown hairs. You need to put warm compress on the skin and then exfoliate to remove the skin covering the hair if it's not to deep. Use a loofah and maybe a mild facial scrub or something. Then always make sure your skin is soft before shaving and use a good shave gel. & a good rasor. and use an after shave.

Question : I have really bad shavers bumps, how can I get rid of them?
I use a double blade manual razor. I use creamy body wash and soap to shave. When I am done, there are red bumps starting from my knees to my ankles. Some are red and bumpy and some are like little black dots. How can I cure them?

Answer:
Don't press too hard and use shave gel! Also, use some aloe vera gel after you shave. It soothes the bumps, and prevents them.

Question : Do they sell shavers to shave your head?
I always do it with my razor but i always end up bleeding, do they sell something special for the head?

Answer:
yep

Question : what is the difference between ice shavers and sno-cone machines?
please help?

Answer:
nothing

Question : Are there any good fabric shavers out there?
Needed for clothes that have those little pills.

Answer:
I own three of them. Remington makes the best one but it is difficult to find. It is a compact model and very good for cuffs and collars. I also have one by Evercare which doesn't seem to have the power on nubby fabrics and knits that the Remington had. And, I have a larger model by CedarFresh that is great for doing large sweaters because it has a larger cutting surface. I originally purchased the Remington at a fabric store that has since gone out of business. I just bought the Evercare at WalMart and the CedarFresh came from Long's Drug store. I do NOT recommend the no name brand $3.00 one that Big Lots is selling. I bought one and returned it. It is very small, the container that the lint is collected in is tiny and needs to be emptied often and the thing practically falls apart in your hand while you are using it.

Question : Why are replacement blades for shavers ei: Gillette Mach 3, etc so expensive?
I've checked-out the prices and no pharmacy or store has them for under $8.00 for 4, they are usually $9.97 or 16.97 for package of 4 or 8, which is ridiculous!

Answer:
I'm pretty sure that the more expensive shavers are supposed to last you longer and be nicer for your skin than the disposable ones. 2 dollars for each replacement razor doesn't sound so bad.

Question : What removes leg hair best razors, hair removing lotions, or electric shavers. What do u use?
I currently use forever free electric shaver and it sucks

Answer:
VEET! is the best! you put it on your legs, then wait 4 minutes and then wash it off in the shower! =] it doesn't like leave any allergic reaction bumps on your legs like Nair. Its about 5 or 6 dollars in target, walmart, walgreens etc

Question : Men: What do you prefer- electric shavers or disposables and why?
Dont forgot your reason for preference.

Answer:
I too used electric ones before:never a smooth shave Switched to disposables:tried all kinds Got now for a year the Phillips fusion mach 3:the best there is The vibrating blades are way great and provide you with the smoothest shave ever. And no cuts:ever Sky.

Question : what is the best shaving cream and shavers for shaving a head?
I just shaved my head and it still looks like their is hair its hair where my hair used to be

Answer:
omg... i so wanna see this.. hahaha.. im not being an ass.. i just think it has to look fun...

Question : How long do the batteries in shavers last ?
How long do the batteries in shavers last ?

Answer:
Most modern rechargable electric shavers use Ni-Cad batteries despite the recent advances in battery technologies I believe this is because they are the cheapest to produce. These batteries suffer from memory effects so the life of them depends on the users charging and discharging habits but it they are discharged properly every time before charging they can last for up to 1000 cycles. If you shave once a day and charge it every 2 or 3 days you can expect up to 3 or so years from these batteries but charge quality of this battery chemical is greatly degraded usually within a years use.
