Braun Syncro Shaver System Clean & Renew Refills

This is a great product. Having the auto-ship option from Amazon means that my husband never runs out. This is one less thing I have to remember. The self cleaning shaver is the best idea since sliced bread. People don't take care of things like they used to and this is one thing that takes care of itself.

Refill for Braun 9595

No need to say this is the product I wanted. Buying was quick and easy. I received the refills in approx. 1 week. Would definately do business with this company again.

Easy to use and reasonably priced.

Any time I stop to gripe about the cost of these Braun Syncro refills, I think back to my Mach 3 Turbo straight edge days. I would take a 3 pack of these over expensive blade replacements and shaving cream any day. I find these generally last a little over a month with daily cleaning Monday - Friday. A $65-70 a year estimate is fair, which boils down to about $5.50 a month.

While I am frequently able to find these refills at CVS & Target, there have been a number of times when they were out/unavailable. Also I have sometimes been limited to the 2 pack. The prices on Amazon are competitive and I tend to order them when I'm down to my last one so I'm ready when the cleaning stand's red light goes on.

The alcohol solution has a light lemon scent and an oily consistency. I would always be careful where you keep the stand in the event of a leak. I have had no problems with it, but I could see a spill being a big mess. Also, I have a relatively sensitive neck when it comes to shaving and the solution has not added any noticeable irritation.

Since I bought a Braun shaver with self cleaning system I have gained more time. Simply insert refill and you will never have to struggle with washing and lubricating your shaver again. These refills will do it for you and after cleaning is over your shaver is: sharp, clean, smells like a fresh lemon :-) and ready to do its job!!!

Trimmer review

Multi-cut trimmer is quite heavy but does the job. The little trimmer that comes along with it is a waste.

The only problem with these is that when I went to cut my son's hair along his neck line it actually cut his skin and caused him to bleed. I have to use the small trimmer for finishing touches. Also it appears that the blade is crooked. I will probably remove the two large screws and see if there is any way to straighten them out rather than deal with the huge headache of trying to return the thing.

Norelco 9160xl

I recently purchased a Norelco 9160xl and am extremely happy with it. I was using a Braun. It shaved ok but left long hairs. The Norelco gives a smooth close shave and very comfortable. I especially like that it indicates how much charge is remaining which is very nice if you are traveling without the charger. The Braun simply quit when charge wore off.

Gives my sensitive skin with tough, fast-growing beard (not a good combination) a close, comfortable shave. Charge lasts a remarkably long time. Extremely quiet operation. I'm very, very satisfied with this razor.

Great Little machine

Shaves smoothley, it arrived fast and it works great. very satisfied and recommend it especially for people with sensitive skin. it really gave me a good shave. i use to shave only once a week with my old shaver becasue it gave me a bad rash everytime, but with this model i shave almost three times a week and it works great.

I have owned this for a year now and love it. It's the quietest shaver I've ever owned. I bought my first Norelco back in 1985, then switched to Remington and then switched to Braun and now back to Norelco. The heads are smooth, it's quiet, charges fast, easy to clean, light weight and shaves close without pulling.

You won't be disappointed if you chose this shaver.

Great shaver, lousey cover

This is a great shaver. Better shave than my old Norelco, fast recharge, and nearly six weeks of shaving on a charge!! The plastic cap, however is poor compared to my old ones. The new ones last only a couple months at best and cost about $9.00 to replace. (The little retaining tabs break off). The older style lasted many months and were cheaper to replace. It looks pretty silly to be traveling with a $150 shaver and have the cap held on by a rubber band! My fantasy is that some Norelco exec will see me shaving in an airport rest room and ask about it.

Great replacement

I recently purchased this as a replacement for my Emjoi Gold Caress. I had used the Emjoi for about 5 years, but for several months I noticed it's motor seemed to slow down and it wasn't doing as good a job getting the hairs out.

I was really pleased with this product. My Emjoi may have been as good at getting the hairs when I first got it, but this product may be even better. It seems to get even the finest hairs. Pain isn't a problem, since I've been epilating for years now, but I did notice pain where my old unit had been missing hairs.

I'm very happy with it, and would recommend it highly.

Great epilator

I've used braun epilator for the past 8 years, they are the best way to epilate as I personally hate waxing/shaving. I got this one couple of years back. Epilator is the quickest and hassle free product that lasts for years. It only pains slightly, once you have used it few times, its really no big deal. The light is a great addition to this version. Only negative point is the sound it makes, if that can be reduced then great.

RETURNED! Scary & hurts like heck!

Purchased it this afternoon, took it home & was SO excited to use it! I have been growing out my underarm hair for weeks-just waiting for this day to come. I read the instructions (keep at 90 degree angle) and plugged it in. The first thing I felt was a tiny pinch, the hair being pulled out obviously. Then, everything after that was the most horrendous pain I have ever felt! I have given BIRTH, had over four tattoo's, waxed, shaved, threaded-you name it! THIS, by far, was the WORST pain I have ever felt! I tried it in every darn direction and it SNAGGED my skin and ripped it to shreds! Both of my underarms are red and tender from where the skin got torn off and it's been 8 hours already (it's 11 pm and I did it at 3 pm). Other bad things: Noisy as hell, the two settings, Soft and Something Faster should have been labeled Super Fast and Something even Super Faster! The Soft setting was so fast I was AFRAID to put it to my armpit! It's like this scary weedwhacker! The massaging rollers did nothing at all. I am giving it TWO stars because it DID get 95% of my hair out by the roots (all over the place), the color is cute...and thats about it. I can see how this would pay for itself after one or two sessions-but imo, the pain was NOT worth it! I am going to stick with sugar waxing & shaving thank you.

Yes, it hurts but "no pain, no gain" right?

I got my epilator yesterday and used it for the first time this morning. I'm not going to lie to you...it hurt! The first few passes on my legs had me holding my breath and breaking out in a sweat. But as the remaining hairs became more sparse, the discomfort reached a much more manageable level. I truly believe that future uses will prove less painful or even painless, especially if the product is used regularly to pluck out hairs as they come in. I even got up the nerve to do my underarms and bikini area! All areas are a bit red right now (I just finished) but not a whole lot worse in the bikini area than after I shave, so I am positive it will clear up shortly. The best part...my legs are wonderfully smooth and should stay that way for a lot longer than if I had shaved them. It makes a little pain worth it in my book!

As for those who think that this epilator is simply breaking off the hairs, I know for a fact that this is not the case. The hairs I found on the ground and in the machine were at least twice as long as the growth on my legs, indicating without a doubt that they were pulled by the root.

So after my very first use (and a fair amount of pain) I am still going to recommend this product! I look forward to being "shave free" and yet smooth and glorious all summer long.

Really works

I've never waxed in my entire life and so I was a little scared when I first tried this epilator. I used it on full speed when I tried it and there was a little discomfort but It really wasn't bad at all. I have fine hair so I have to go over the same spot a couple of times but thats fine because you don't need to use it as often as a razor. If you tend to get ingrown hairs all you need to do is exfoliate regularly.

Would recommend buying this to anyone who has tried other shavers

This shaver is not like any other clippers, hair trimmers, electric razors, lady shavers, or battery powered groomers you may have tried before. This is perfect. It nevers catches or pulls hairs, has enough power on a single charge to remove every hair below your neck line at least one time. If you use it frequently, for maintaince of stubble like I do, you can use it to shave your body every other day and it can go about 1 week between charges.

It is easy to clean, and the shave is smooth as if using a disposable razor blade. I don't know when I will finally wear this one out, but I will buy this same model.

My only disappointment was damaging the foil head and having trouble finding replacements in the stores where these are sold. The great news is Amazon sells the replacement foils, you can even get one mailed automatically every few months. I am in agreement with everyone else here that this shaver is amazing.

Not many products with a specific male body grooming needs . I am happy with it . It kinda nicked my skin near my balls once . But , i try to keep my skin a lil taut and i haven't had problems since .
I really like that it can be used wet . Though i think it does a better job dry .

I have not used the adjustment combs . so ,dont know about that . Would be surprised if they actually work well .

Only works for about 2 months and them stops working, first I tought it was the battery, but I was not. I writte to phillips to find a service provider and they never answer my emails!!! I lost my money!!!! DONT BUY THIS!!!!!! IT SUCKS!!!! PHILLIPS IS NOT A RESPONSABLE COMPANY!!!!!!!

Fantastic

After using blades and bleeding to death, especially on the legs, plus getting razor burn in the groin area time after time, this product is fantastic and I will never part with it. Does the job without the cuts and razor burn. You can actually put your clothes back on after shaving and feel smooth withour any irritation or a body covered with septic pencil blotches followed by a few days of Solarcane. I am now one happy camper especially when I see my wife chopping up her legs with a razor. Sorry honey.

This little shaver......................

works very well. I have not tried any others, so I cannot compare the Norelco to other similiar types of shavers. I have used this shaver 2X and have been very satisfied with the results. If your hair is thick it may take a while to get everything even, but you should have enough power to get the job done. This shaver works well in you "private areas" with little or no irritation. All in all its a good razor and I would recommend it to anyone. For the price, its a well worth investment.
